My Pirate Blog Now with crew members

Ok folks time to start posting some of the stuff i have completed. I will first start off with some terrain I made for our family gaming board.





I have a few pirates done, I will try to get some pics posted soon.

Yes the Old Glory Minis. Ive had my eye on those I also bought a packet of WarFactory Zulu Warriors. They will make excellent Cannibals i think. I should be done basing my first 5 pirates today, will try to get some photos of them up either tonight or tomorrow.
The crews are mixed up atm. My son and wife wanted some of thiers painted as well right away hehe.

Ok folks, now we are getting into the meat and taters portion. Finally some crew members of the different bands here.

First off 3 members of the Privateer crew, including thier Captain.
From left to right we have: Capt. Galman Thorne, Jeremiah Hook (aka Hooky) and Ryker.


Now 3 crew members of a Pirate band(played by my son)
From left to right: Aliffe, Scurvy Joe, and the nameless will probably be called Pierre.

Nice work. What models are those? I'm looking at putting a Pirate warband together and can't decide what I want to buy yet.

They are Black Scorpion and Foundry models.

Nice! Did you varnish the models? They look so shiny.

Yes, its the Matte that I use for them after the dull coat. It tends to bring the details out alittle more I think. However, it does look better in person.

AAAARRRGH! A shipshape looking crew. You're becoming a VERY improved speed painter. VERY WELL DONE!

I thought some of those looked familiar. I'm looking at picking up some of the Black Scorpion Pirate models, along with some Bronze Age female pirates.

Hopefully we can play our first game this weekend! Thats what I am shooting for at least. I am almost done with the fortress, well 80% done anyways. Will post more pics of some more pirates soon.
