StormGerkin's Pirate Crew

I've been working on my pirate warband of late. And have just finished the modeling work on my ogre bogy guard.
Not painted yet as I am finishing the rest of the crew first just thought I should post a shot of the grren stuuf work before it gets painted over. Sorry about the grainy shots not great with a camera.

I had to remove alot of the orrigainal model to get to roughly the right boby shape i wanted.

Don't mind the odd bit of white paint it is there so i could see if the green stuff is smooth enough.

VERY COOL! The Foul Anchor as a weapon gives The Big Guy JUST THE RIGHT Pirate feel. Keep up the FINE WORK!

From what I can make out this looks like a great conversion!

Now get it painted and properly photographed!

so i finished the ogre earler this week still havent got around to the base or clear coat.

the beard and chest hair seem to blur together in the first pic.

VERY NICE! About the only thing I'd do differently is perhaps giving him striped pants...I think of Pirates & Sailors for that matter as having striped pants, but other than that the Big Guy looks GREAT. VERY WELL DONE!
What are you going to do with the base?

The thought of stripped pants did cross my mine. i when away from it because of how many models all ready have stripped paints in the warband, also i thought that the white between the stripes would seem to bright on trunks that wide. not entirly sold on the light grey my self thus i havent clear coated it yet.

For those of you interested i have a size comparisoin between ron & bones minature and a warmachines one.

VERY COOL! You've got a bunch of minis that are on my "kill for" list. I hadn't realized the height difference between the Ron & Bones minis & P.P. ...of course, there are considerable differences in height between people in "real" life. The Lads painted up VERY NICELY. WELL DONE!

Sweet! I have been waiting to see a Ron and Bones mini compared to other 30mm ones....

Don't suppose the Cap'n is Long Johann Silber or something like that?

I thought the comparison shot was neesesary because i havent found one yet and the model range has alot of modelers itchy. It seems that there models are a little taller the long john model as show i believe is on the taller side of the mini's i have another a grace spinnster i will post her up as soon as she is completed with the same priveteer beside her she is alot shorter then long john.
would have more to show you however while using my clear coat on a moist day stuffed up one i will need to repaint it again (this always seems to happen to me last time i stuffed up three of them when i mistaked my clear coat for silver)

I have finished some hand gunners resently now at my captains mercy.


I have some more decks age ready and willing at hand.


And i bring more tales of war compatisions, seems that their all fairly tall miniatures but i like them. The two on the out side are not mine.

These new additions are excellent. I am especially glad to see your new vessel being used as a backdrop already. The size of it looks perfect and those stairs and timbers are shipshape.

Ok long time no post but almost got all the pirates models i have currently painted.

first of all i have a vicious first mate and 2 alternate gunners

and an alternate officer not quite sure what she will be but she has one mischievous powder monkey at hand
