| I liberated this poor resin knight from a dime store, mounted him on a more appropriate pedestal and based him on a cd (my favourite terrain unit). Painting: Drybrushing & washes. No magic or talent, just patience.

| VERY NICE! There are quite a lot of cool things out there that, while not specifically made for Mordheim, make VERY COOL additions to a collection. GOOD FIND! Your metallics are GORGEOUS! WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks.
Yeah, the little not-so-glorious things like bird poop make terrain look real - but that goes for every setting. Tanks that look like they just rolled from the assembly line are boring, and certainly nobody is walking around Mordheim cleaning up guano.
Or, wait ... there may be a dramatis persona just there.
High elf ruins: Really bad primer, nothing sticks. In for a respray next. | |

| That is great! really atmospheric - as always it's the little touches and attention to detail that makes a good terrain piece (or any model really) into a brilliant piece! I love the bird poop but I also love the little shield & scroll on the front. | |

| I just finished painting the ruin Asp mentioned: Edit: Components: Again a cd and a lot of sand and filler, this time topped with heavily weathered Hirst Art blocks purchased from Antenociti's Workshop, but they seem to have discontinued the terrain set. Tomb kings skeleton archer. I have another ruin in the pipeline, but I just cannot decide on what to plant in the empty space just yet. I was considering a pile of corpses and/or loot, but that would be very tedious. I am very open to other suggestions. A crashed corpse cart, mayhaps? Or just more improvised fortifications.

| COOL RUINS! I REALLY like your earth tones. How about a hand clutching a scroll proclaiming:The End Is Near" sticking out from the fallen masonry? | |

| Thanks! DeafNala, I think just a hand and a scroll just won't take up enough space. Maybe ... under the cart I am thinking about. I am out of masonry. Must remember to use more scrolls, though. Painting (for all pieces, actually): * Black spray undercoat (cheap, detail killer, but does nicely for terrain), black wash. * Drybrushed cheap crafts paint mix, very dark grey brown. * Earth: More drybrushing, Bestial Brown, then Snakebite Leather, very little Bleached Bone. * Stone: Same, but Codex Grey, Fortress Grey, Skull White. I think the trick is that the underlying dark brown ties the whole piece together, and three layers of drybrushing look | |

| liking it, somehow i always figured that you'd paint it white like roman ruins but i like the grey. our entire city, minus my 1970ies blacksmith is actually grey. yay for grey as for development of the second ruins, more cover is always good for you non-shooty types (i am modelling marienburgers as we speak ) | |
