Well, you could do the "counts as" thingy with the Trollbloods & use them as Ogres in the BTB Ogre War Band. AND I agree, the Celtos Lasses are BABES. Since most females tend to be somewhat more diminutive than their male counter parts, the size difference isn't necessarily a bad thing.

My apologies to Dave for taking his thread SO FAR from topic. Well it's BLASPHEMY TIME! ACTUALLY, I do. Here's my take on the whole thingy: Mordheim is more of a setting/mood/state of mind than a set of rules. I see no reason why you couldn't take any game you & your group enjoy playing & drop it into the setting & still have a game with the feel of Mordheim. SO...War Machine could be a steampunk Mordheim; Confrontation would be a Mordheim ala Cadwallen. That ought to send most GW Fan Boys screaming into the night. I suppose you could use A Wolfen [ LOVE those minis] with the Norse War Band OR "counts as" Dire Wolves with a Vampire War Band [I use Reaper Dire Rats for my Piratical Vampire War Band ] OR , if you want to stretch things a bit, the "counts as" Ogres might work. It's cool multipurposing minis, especially considering how long it takes to paint them AND how VERY expensive they can be.

| In case you're still weighing your options, I think the Dark Elf range has a decent variety of female models, really in almost all levels (troops, witches, beast tamers, sorceresses, etc.), and there are rare female figs scattered here and there like the Middenheim youngblood model, bretonnian damsels, etc.
You could also probably make a pretty cool Sisters of Sigmar warband converting Sisters of Battle from 40K, although you'd have to avoid models holding their bolters in both hands.

| yep, those southerners have some really cool stuff too bad fantastic companies like Rackham didn't seem able to break the GW monopoly talked to a french shopowner 1 or 2 years ago, told her I didn't understand why Rackham couldn't keep up and she replied that she tried everything to promote their own french product, but that the french kids kept asking/buying GW stuff ... bummer ! | |
