| If that's your first try, then you're a natural! My first mini looked horrendous by comparison. Nice job with shading on the red robe.
A couple of quick tips:
1) Put a little black in the skull's eye and nose sockets, using thin (watery) black so it just goes into the deep parts. A little bit under the cheekbones and around the teeth would look good, too.
2) Dry brush the stones on the base with gray -- wipe most of the paint off the brush, then drag it across the rough surface so it just leaves a little paint behind. Then, If you want, try a lighter shade of gray after that, and highlight just a few spots here and there.
Overall, great job, you're off to an excellent start! | |

| THAT'S A FIRST ATTEMPT! You REALLY are a natural. There is little to critique on the mini; perhaps a bit more depth to the skin color is about all. You achieve a VERY nice overall effect. The depth of color on the skull is right on. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Wow !!! I have nothing to say about the paintjob, you're a better painter than me But if what I see on pic 4 is right, I can help you to do better : we see the line from molding, I think you forgot to remove it before the painting process Or am I mistaken ? | |

| oh so there is the little creation that was painted yesterday at my house yeah i have to agree with all the others on the forum that you are a natural. my first figure that i painted was a total mess. and if you just keep on painting i think you will be REALLY´good. you seem to have the eye for it! so now you just need to get yourself your own paints and workspace! nah... you can always use my paints! | |
