paint never > modeling

paint is just the final step every1 focuses on some1 else
and i feel that modeling makes a way bigger diffrence in what the char looks like than painting does, as long as its painted that is

A cool recommendation my girlfriend made when she saw the theater mask conversions would be to do Comedia Del Arte masks like this one.

Have acouple of WIP pictures for everyone today.

So first up is a Warlock for my possessed, i just had to "steal" this idea from mr Underbheit cause i like his work alot. I did change the head though.



Next up is ym first "beastman", wanted to give them a more human-ish look just to give them a different look from what you normally see in the warhammer world, this friendly fellow is just one of the 2 henchmen im currently working on the one that got promoted to a hero. Not the best pictures of him sorry, didn't have everything set up proper.

The basing is spot on as usual, and I really like your take on the Beastman. I didn't even notice at first that his lower jaw is from a Ghoul head, awesome!

New? i have been making my bases like that for awhile now

legs are from empire archers, tooso, arms and the top half of the head are from the ungor kit and the jaw is from the ghoul kit, rest if GS.

your feeling for dynamic and yet realistic poses and old school Mordheim atmosphere at the same time makes your conversions brilliant. Great inspiration for me.

Cool model... not to rain on your parade but ungors can't be promoted to heros iff my memory serves me well...

Mo--I think you are being too literal. Just because Foot used a n ungor head doesn't mean that he's making an ungor... Also I believe the warband he's working on is a Possessed warband and the above figure represents a beastman so no ungor worries.

That is an inspiring conversion (just like the rest, but I felt compelled to comment on this latest one!)

so the head is actually two heads in one?
