| Greetings everyone.
Im thinking im making a mordheim table so, i would like to know what do you think its the best game size for a mordheim table.
Imagin you have the perfect table with all the desired terrain/ buildings. What would be the best table size to play.
Thanks - Miguel | |

| The GW recommend sizes are 4'X4' for two player games & 4'X6' for multiplayer games. I would go for the larger table; re, you can always limit the area of play but you can't necessarily make a small table larger. | |

| yeah, but that must be for 1on1 games. If multi are 4x6... i think that must be 120x180cm, like warhammer fantasy
isnt it? | |

In Spain we play with cm, the rest of the world in inches Actually most of the world uses centimeters, so 4x4 would be 90cmx90cm 4x6 would be 90cmx150cm. Atleast I think that's right.

No, a foot is 30 cm. So 4 feet = 120 cm. Or to be precise, 121.92 because imperial measurements are all bonkers. 6 feet = 180 cm, so the bigger table would be a standard Fantasy table.

isnt it? Yep, that's it; 120cmX180cm would be 4'X6'. I'm sorry I didn't put the initial size in metric as well; I tend to think in inches &, before the second or third cup of coffee, thinking is limited to "not at all" .

| Svenn and I made our table 4' (121 cm) by 8' (242 cm) with flaps so we can just use 4' x 4.5' at a time or have the full 4'x8'. But it all depends how many people you have play in a game at once, what kind of storage would you need to put it out of the way when done. Just a few things to think about our table for ideas/reference http://www.tabletopgeeks.com/the-mostly-finished-table/*edit* ours also stands higher than you would prolly want yours to be, makes reaching the middle a lil bit of a pain... | |

| Yeah, with a 4'x8' playing area you have a lot of options. You can use half the table for a 4'x4' game. You can do a multiplayer game at 4'x6'. You can do TWO games side by side at 4'x4'. Or, if you were really brave you could try a 4'x8' game (might be okay if you have 5+ players). | |

| Us silly Americans and our backwards ways. You have no idea how many times I've argued with people that we need to join the 21st (or the 20th!) century and switch over to metric. As for the ultimate gaming table, for any game, check out this company, particularly their Sultan gaming table. Nothing says "I have more money and THIS is my one and only hobby" than a $9K piece of furniture. | |

| i'm going for a table 90cm by 90 cm, else it tends to get too big imho. but i'm also doing a few revisions on ranges and stuff | |

| Do you find it a problem using smaller tables (like the 110x110 I will use)? I mean, on a 120x120 (4'x4') how many turns do you play only moving? when I play 110x110 usually the first, sometimes second turn is all movement - no other action. Especially in the early games ofcourse. | |

Nothing says "I have more money and THIS is my one and only hobby" than a $9K piece of furniture. Isn't that just an adapted billiard table? Still, shame we don't all have next-door neighbours who are prepared to buy one. As for metric Vs. imperial, cubic-milimetre does make more sense than two score chains (what does that mean!?).

| Well as long as we're on the subject. My Buddy, John, has built a hexagon gaming table to accomodate all his Geo-Hex Terrain [& my Mordheim stuff, when he moves up from Texas]. The table edges are 42" in length & the table is roughly 6' diagonally. The surface is done up in a high gloss dark blue [water] stain so areas not covered by terrain will represent streams, lakes, that sort of thing. My Mordheim stuff is set to be on islets, AND sans terrain makes it perfect for some Naval action. Cool, huh?! | |
