Well here is my first home grown scenery. It will be a mixture for Mordheim and Western and FIW games. Im in the process of making a Log Fort as well. Let me know what you think.

NOT BAD, ESPECIALLY for a first attempt. I like the winding road idea. There are a couple of things you can do to improve the appearance. The rocks need more depth of color; try doing a dark grey wash & dry brush with successively lighter grey shades. For the wood: rough up with a wire brush or razor saw to bring out the grain; do a dark greyish brown wash & dry brush with lighter shade of grey brown all the way up to a sand color. The finish is a bit too glossy; try hitting it up with a matte finish or Testor's Dull Cote. The piece has a nice French & Indian War or Frontier Fort feel to it. With a little more work, it will be a BEAUTY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, Amigo!

Thanks for the tips man. I liked it for my first attemp. My second is the fort I am working on. Go Big or go Home I always said lol. Only practice will make it better. I shall keep plugging away.

If your painting is any indication, I expect STARTLING improvement in your Terrain pieces. It's a PRETTY NICE piece right now.
