Green Stuff ~ Play Dough?

So I got some fun dough (just like play dough) in my stocking this year (yeay, no coal), and I know Play dough gets hard as a rock when it dries, so I was wondering:

Has anyone tried using play dough as sculpting putty?

From just thinking about it, I'm pretty sure the Green Stuff will stick to plastic models and other surfaces better...

Anyway, I've created a small head out of play dough and am letting it dry.

Any ever tried this? thoughts?

Greenstuff turns into a pretty hard plastic when it cures. I think play dough (or similar) will just become powdery and crumble after a while.

Greenstuff really is designed for modelling at our scale - play dough isn't!

I went ahead and created that head. It's dried pretty well... But I think it may start crumbling after a long spell of drying. I'll post some pics later.

But I'll have to take WBK's side on this one. Green stuff and Milliput are really designed for long lasting modelling.

You should really use those, even if it means you have to loosen the purse strings a little

tbh i tried to use play dough at gap fillers ones...but in the end it started to crack and crumble :/
