Some really nice pieces here, where did the fountain statue come from? It's got just the right grandiose gothic look for Mordheim, I'd love to get hold of something like that. Your buildings have a very nice dusty, dirty feeling that looks like real ruins, nicely done. Mine always look too clean. I may 'borrow' the design of the tall triple building and the pale blue one with the overhang if that's ok, l like the shape of them and I need to make some bigger stuff. Good stuff, very impressive.

Some clarification on the fountain- this is a good example of why junkdiving at goodwill is always a worthwhile proposition. The fountain itself is a faux-clay small-fern pot, and we did nothing to alter the painting of it, since it looked stoney enough already. it is filled with random chunks of blue foam to take up the hollow space, and then a piece of foamcard at the top. We then used plaster to create texture and painted it all chaotic with a lot of ink to get in the crevices.

The water effect is modgepodge with some ink mixed in. eventually it will dry clear and not look like glue, just give it a day or two.

AS for why all our ish looks dusty and dirty, you really can't put that as intentional. For one, unlike Identity and our other friend, l am an insanely lazy and impatient bum, and therefore drybrush EVERYTHING. Everything has some sort of a grey base, which plays to dust well.

Additionally- due to other circumstances, we don't get around to playing nearly as much as we'd like, and therefore there is quite a bit of actual dust on our terrain (womp womp).

While Identity may want more foliage, I still think multiple levels are necessary, as my dream of bridge-to bridge combat has yet to be truly realized.

A Man after my own heart...dueling on rickety catwalks dizzying heights above the unforgiving paving stones FAR below is the ULTIMATE in swashbuckling excitement. That's what I'm working on right now. Karate
