Da GoRK's works

It'll be about two weeks now since I started to play Warhammer Online - need to stop and get back to my education ...but that's not the subject ...
Anyway, months before Warhammer Online: Age of Reckonning was available to buy, there were huge amounts of concept arts to be found on Internet. Since I always liked to biuld (or more likely DESTROY ) terrains for Mordheim and I found some very interesting pics, I thought I'll give a try with some projects inspired by Warhammer Online.
This is not the firstone I've made (based on WAR), but I am not much of a photographer and I am waiting till next week, when I'll get some better photos of ruins that are ready for playing. However, I still want to put something , so I'll start with WIP. This is the inspiration (for it's not going to be exactly the same):

And that's how it was since last time I had a camera in my hands.


For now I can only say that construction is finished and I even started painting it. I lacks some details, and I am still thinking about making another floor. I'll try to make some photos maybe tomorrow....

This is gonna be one awsome piece of terrain! I like the sewer pipe that's leading underneath the building.

ok, I've promised, so there it is. I forgot that I've already made another floor ( ), but it's been a while ....too long. Well, whatever. That's how it looks now (made the photos today!). Enjoy:





As you can see I glued the entire thing to square base (20x20 [cm]), added a fireplace, and some more space on the upper floors (so it could be more playable) and lots and lots of wreckage. I always try to put as much as I can - fills up the empty space on the base, and gives more character to the building

Turning out great! I just wish I could put terrain together that well.

VERY NICE WORK! The brick & woodwork look TERRIFIC. It's coming along WONDERFULLY; there's a lot pf gaming possibilities with this sucker. WELL DONE!

It's not as difficult as it seems ...you need a good project, balsa wood, styrofoam and some pizza boxes (that's more or less what I used here). I don't have problems with putting it together right, difficulties start when the painting comes...dry brush doesn't always do the trick

This is a pice I made for Warhammer fantasy battle. Inspired by a factory from Skaven armybook (painting and modeling section). It doesn't have an inside, but the photos are not bad, so I'll place it...

Haha, one of the items on my to do list is some sort of duplication of that same skaven mill. I like your rework of it. I'm guessing the brickwork is carved foamcard? What about the bricks of the circular smokestack? Is that carved out of some foam as well?

Your building some cool looking stuff man! I like the scatterd dirt and rubble (not entirly handy to play with, but what gives.)

Your Bro's House is a beautifully detailed & VERY gamesworthy piece. AND, while your Factory wasn't made for Mordheim, it DEFINITELY would work in the seting with all the ramps & different levels. EXCELLENT WORK! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your FINE WORK!

that's also carved foamcard, though this one is liitle thicker. The wall version has 6 mm, the other one has less (can't recall now....I'd guess it's about 4 mm).

It was to be nice looking, not playable - it's my first 'brick projeckt' and I just couldn't stop making it bigger....and it took me a lot of time to finish it - painting was the problem mostly....
