DeafNala... THANKS for such wonderful models. Sure, they are not mine, but it has been a long time I no longer mind being trampled to death. I guess the paintjob eases my suffering!

Definitely... they look better in person! If I remember, I will take my photo-both and take some pics. Everyone deserve to check 'em out.

Mordheimer is an excellent painter and he painted a lot for me but his expertise is needed on being a "fluffer" for the TLRB. Mordheimer's obsessive compulsive behavior and the knack for being a great editor has curtailed his painting but without these "monk" type behavior our project would look like everyone who has tried this before.

Though with that Mordheimer has a few Orks he is working on for his Squad.

Oh, yes, I do!! Very rude of me to not comment on them. They do look great. Very well painted indeed. However, you won't see me go too crazy over Sci-Fi minis. Ever. Trust me, I was the same way up until this last year. Like they say "Once you go Black Reach you don't go back!'. Just kidding.

Over the years I have become a moderator on a two Space Hulk forums, on two different necromunda forums and a few gorkamorka forums. Even with that I never became involved in playing. I was more interested in rules mechanics and keeping games balanced.

Then this summer (don't you just love summer?) Mordheimer and I wanted to try out Space Hulk as I always loved the idea of "Aliens" and Mordheimer has more Nids than that California lady who had Octtuplets has kids. LOL. We figured we would start playing for fun.

Well between me and Mordheimer the game grew to a 150 page Rule Book. LOL.

When I worked for GW part time I didn't even like 40K back then. I would sell it but Fantasy and Mordheim was it. Nothing else matter. Man how stupid I was? I could have had a ton 40K stuff cheap!

Then I started reading the Last Chancer GW Novels and the Caiphas Cain Novels and I was hooked.

Up until recently the only 40K stuff I ever bought was some Tallarns that I could customize for my Araby warband. LOL.

I remember when these guys came out. I really wanted those minis, but unfortunately I used to play Space Marines and my best friend Catachans... so they were kind of his call. I never liked that american-native looking guy though... I have absolutely NOTHING against native americans, but why does he look like a Sioux?! In a universe where power-armour and weird laserguns are commonplace he walks around in leather sandals, wearing a fringed leather jacket and a bandana... hmmm

Glad you liked them, Tom. I kind of side tracked the thread myself by mentioning the rerelease of SH, SO...I've only myself to blame if the minis were overlooked. Actually I thought it was pretty funny.

Awesome, Nala! Those miniatures are so great! You painted the black in a stunning way, I wish mine would look like that. The colour scheme is really cool, they really fit into the Death Squad's atmosphere.

@matt: the minis are Forge World's take on the Cadian IG. The resin casts were a bit differen to work with, but paint up nicely.

I know resin paints different. I have their emperor's childeren dreadnought, and I really think it pains way nicer.

Trust me... the only things that make those models look bad is DaBank himself! They look a lot better when I hold them.


Speaking of Death Squad Tournaments at GW HQ... its funny but DaBank and I constantly joke about inscribing a 'club table' at a GamesDay to play a 'custom game with GW models... kindda like those crazy chariot races"... introduce & play Death Squads there. Give away CD's with the rulebook and tons of pictures... and print some of those VistaPrint free business cards with the URL of the torrent to get the book! Then in GW screams, we can tell them that they allowed us to do that... Hehehehehe...

OOOOOO, Krieg Death Korps; COOL! I had gotten the '08 Forge World Catalog with commission piece. They make some beautiful stuff, but I WAS, quite frankly, HORRIFIED by their prices.

I LOVE the idea of doing Death Squad at the GW HQs/Battle Bunker thingy, but you should have a BIG sign by the table:

Dense as I can be at times, I kind of caught your drift...kind of.
Well looks like I'll be here, at least until the Fall.

I figured you knew where I was going with this.

I have the HQ and 10 man squad already. In about two weeks I will have the command squad and Quarter Master. Let me tell you I have some really great rules for the quarter master in the DK squad. (insert evil laugh).

It is good to here you are not moving as I knew that was something you were "planning" on doing a few months ago.
