Hamburger Tactica 2009

The Hamburger Tactica is an annual tabletop convention in Hamburg, Germany. I've been there last year and I can highly recommend it. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing Wolfgang's Mordheim table live and in action - this year they will have his unbelievable Elven Harbour. I'm also looking forward to the presentations of Legends of the High Seas and the awesome Cthulhu table by Grimm. Here's a run down of the presented games (in German).

Februrary 28th - March 1st, 2009

I will surely be going and maybe some others of you want to go as well. Though I'm not so sure if there are that many Northern Germany based people here.

What a Relief! I thought from the title you had some HORRENDOUSLY awful news of a Grand Opening of MacDonald's in Bremen.

This looks to be a VERY COOL Gathering. There seems to be quite a variety of different games;i.e., Historical, Pulp Fiction, WHFB, & our own beloved Mordheim. Wolgang's Elven Harbor is AWE INSPIRING, worth the price of admission in & of itself NO MATTER WHAT THAT MIGHT BE! Oh to be in Germany [sure go ahead & break an old man's heart ]. Thanks for the post [you cruel person, you ].

Hey, thanks for the news. If I could get myself to Germany, I would. I don't think they do near enough events like this in western Canada. Oh well.

Sounds awesome to attend such an event! Oh to go back and be there.

In around one hour I'll be leaving for the Tactica!

quick update.

It's been a freaking blast. I bought an incredible amount of stuff (pirate ship included) and even have some free scenery from that very Wolfgang. Yes, that's true.

Congratulations Cianty! Wolfgang is very generous with his old terrain, i keep trying to convince him to sell it on ebay but he is a really generous soul and keeps giving it away for free. Give his city a good home and play many games on it!
I was at the Tactica yesterday (my 3rd visit there) and i must agree with you, it was absolutely stunning. The new and bigger location was a massive improvement, lots of eye candy and lots of participation games. I only regret that i could not go there today, there were still so many games i wanted to try out, like the cthulhu game or the age of sail battle or the spanish civil war etc. etc.

Yes, I too asked him why I didn't sell the village on ebay. It is very very generous of him!

Yes, I really wanted to play Grimm's "Schatten über Innsmouth" but it was way too crowded.
