| Sitting painting a few models for a warband and i got pondering... Surely in mordheim there is never a proper warband vs warband? ofcourse there is multi warband fights, but wouldnt there be undead or creatures roaming around the city interfering? This got me thinking if adding a few groups of mobs from say 1-4 zombies etc on some roads dotteded (say 2-3 groups max) around the map away from deployment zones may add spice... it would add maybe the air of other threats bar your rivals, and if the creatures are moved 3 inches by a scatter dice each turn only reacting if someone comes within 8 inches then it means another tactical aspect. no running hiding and getting close, instead now you have to worry about them and mosters down routes you may want to take. prob already though of but maybe adds a bit more to the games. The point of this is its not loads of monsters which the warbands will have to fight, its a few npc's who can be agro'd and brough tinto the fight going for the closest person until dead or they kill the prey who disturbed them. _________________ | |

| Sounds good! My friends and I have experimented with similar things, it's good fun! Didn't try this, but here's an idea: maybe each time you enter a building there's a chance someone/thing or D3 of them might be in it? or maybe zombies will come on from table edges or out of bulidings if people are fighting near them, drawn out y the sound? This would give it a bit of an air of randomness about how many things would apear and when? If you come up with/test anything, let everyone know how you get on! | |

| Sounds like the results you get from the random happenings.
Also there is the "Man Hunt" scenario in the Border Town Burning supplement where your warbands are in danger of being eaten by huge dangerous monsters so your warriors have to be hiding and moving carefully while attacking the opponent. It's really fun and very exciting because you're always worrying about your models.

| I know about random happeneings, but wha ti meant was that they appear form the start. so there are random npc's roaming the board fro the beginning so as to make movement harder and more thought required than just hugging cover on diret route to other side. _________________ | |

This is how the Man Hunt scenario plays out. The man hunt oe seems similiar in respect that tis creatures form the beginning, but they seem like they would have an effect onthe game almost no matter what... wha ti meant was small nusiences almost... a few zombies inan alleyway or a skeleton in a ruins or a wolf in a street. small things which wouldnt mean life or death for a warband but more just make them tink if that route to travel is worth it to ge tbehind the enemy. Already had the scenarios downloaded from BTB _________________
