Trees

After a while of running around in mordheim i'd like to have a peep at the wild woodst of the empire... without having any trees. i was browsing for some, but most are quite expensive and look somewhat crappy, i wonder if anyone knows how to do some neat little trees yourself.

You can make quite convincing death trees with old branchs/roots by sticking em upside down on a small base. You'll want to varnish the trees so they don't rot. Living trees are harder to achieve. I never made one, but all tutorials I found gived weird result in my opinion :/.

Hmmm... trees. As an ex-wood-elf player I know how tough this is to make.

You CAN find rather cheap trees in train-model shops (~15-20€) for a bag full of trees (approx. 10 or so). But then, at this price, those will probably be pine trees...

I suppose you could also make trees if you collect enough dried roots and small branches from a forest and glued them upside down as JohnYoung suggested... you could then put some PVA on the tips and "dip" the whole thing into appropriate foliage.

But probably the most convinient thing would be to make a copper-wire "skeleton" of the tree, then cover it with modelling putty that dries at air contact (you can buy it in EVERY art/crafts shop) and engrave the cracks in the bark with a needle. Then paint it and do the foliage thing.

Hi there from Canada..For fairly inexpensive tree creation check out kamloopian.com. He's a fellow Canadian that can do some amazing things with insulating foam and has a decent tutorial on making coniferous and deciduos trees.

P.S I have always wanted to visit Austria. I am blessed with living in a ruggedly beautiful country, but i've always thought of Austria as perhaps the most picturesque country in the world.

I tend to make my own trees...BIG, SPOOKY TREES. They're not cheap to make, but aren't too bad considering the price of the ready made stuff.
