If that's your first try, then you're a natural! My first mini looked horrendous by comparison. Nice job with shading on the red robe.

A couple of quick tips:

1) Put a little black in the skull's eye and nose sockets, using thin (watery) black so it just goes into the deep parts. A little bit under the cheekbones and around the teeth would look good, too.

2) Dry brush the stones on the base with gray -- wipe most of the paint off the brush, then drag it across the rough surface so it just leaves a little paint behind. Then, If you want, try a lighter shade of gray after that, and highlight just a few spots here and there.

Overall, great job, you're off to an excellent start!

THAT'S A FIRST ATTEMPT! You REALLY are a natural. There is little to critique on the mini; perhaps a bit more depth to the skin color is about all. You achieve a VERY nice overall effect. The depth of color on the skull is right on. VERY WELL DONE! thumbsup

Wow !!! I have nothing to say about the paintjob, you're a better painter than me Sad
But if what I see on pic 4 is right, I can help you to do better : we see the line from molding, I think you forgot to remove it before the painting process affraid
Or am I mistaken ? silent

oh so there is the little creation that was painted yesterday at my house bounce
yeah i have to agree with all the others on the forum that you are a natural.

my first figure that i painted was a total mess.
and if you just keep on painting i think you will be REALLY´good. you seem to have the eye for it!

so now you just need to get yourself your own paints and workspace! Suspect

nah... you can always use my paints! Rolling Eyes
