Hi!

I've hade a painting log running for my warband since quite a while back here but during the summer I also started working on my own Mordheim gaming board. To this point I have gathered quite a lot of stuff, both bought from eBay and self-made. Before you even ask: yes, those particularly nice houses are indeed from eBay. They've been the perfect pieces to center and build the rest of the board from, I really like them. Smile

Here are some pictures to get it started, they're more like action shots than anything else. I'll get some better individual photos taken later.

Thanks guys. The next step will be to get all those unpainted little bits and pieces finished so they won't detract from the overall appearance of the board.

What're the fire/smokey bitz? Counters or environmental hazards?

They're explosion markers made by some 3rd party for a different game. I used to use them to mark out where I had placed artillery shots in Warhammer Fantasy Battles but I find they make terrific terrain pieces in Mordheim as well. Currently we use them simply as impassable terrain that blocks line of sight fully, but they could also be turned into some environmental hazard.

The board has been set for the weekend's coming games. A couple of days ago I received a really cool terrain piece that was supposed to be used as a port, but with some creative placement of the brick foundations I could wall the water in to create a pool. It's easy to imagine that the populace of Mordheim used to enjoy their public baths.

This is SUCH a nice gaming table. You said you received the dockyard. Was it already in this state in the pic or did you paint it up?

The port originally appeared here:

Looks great in its new home. Of course you need a ship or two...

Von Kurst is entirely right, I got it just the way it is straight from eBay. My plan is to create a number of tiles with the same water effect that can be used as canals through the city, turning the lowest level into waterways. We could then add boats and stuff to be used for transportation there. Kind of like Venice!

Hello all!

I don't really have any updates to give you since I've done very little work on my terrain since last time. I can however give you some pictures of the board we used yesterday just to show it off. Note the skybridges crossing over the church.  Smile

Also, a short bit before christmas I hosted a large multiplayer game that used the Last Orders! scenario from the Nemesis Crown campaign. It took place inside a large tavern and involved (up to) 6 warriors from 6 different warbands in a free-for-all brawl. I printed out a bunch of tiles from the original Dungeon Bowl set to use for this, along with some other stuff.

Playing this scenario with so many participants was a lot of fun but required a ton of book-keeping!

The bar set up looks fun as well. I expect we will see a fully tricked out tavern set up soon.

Hello everyone. Yesterday we had a round of gaming with two tables set up next to each other. One is the standard Mordheim madhouse and the other for Empire in Flames. I'm quite happy with how that turned out.
