So after looking at everyone else terrain for awhile I've finally decided to start my own WIP thread. I was very inspired by Boreas_NL and his awesome terrain thread from which I've borrowed liberally Wink

So here's my temporary work space

Measure once cut twice, three times, wait...

From start to finish in just over 1 weekend and it's already performed well in a few games. Smile I'm mostly done with my next building. I'll have some pics up of that one soon. Enjoy for now

Wow thanks, you guys are quick Very Happy

Here's some more for you:

This is the sketch I used for the bell tower. I kept is simple with a 3" cube design. You can see my notes on the roof and a few floor patterns
My terrain in progress Tower_6510

Here's my next project. The governors mansion. There is a pen sketch on the other side of the paper so it's a little hard to see, and my penciling is usually very lite...
My terrain in progress Mansion_6504

The mansion is actually almost finished! Just needs a few more details, trim, and the roof.

My terrain in progress Mansion_6507

A detail of the ladder and floor hatch, I'm really liking this detail
My terrain in progress Mansion_6508

And the stairs for the level 2 to 3 transition. This was a quick improv build and I'm impressed with my self for how good it came out Very Happy

Woah! Those stairs are awesome! Was it just patience and measuring that got it made or do you have a secret?

Great work on everything! keep up the good and inspiring work!

Well I didn't measure too carefully. I tried to keep the two main stair pieces the same. I used the first one as a template for the second. That way any minor errors would be transferred to the other side and it would at least come together mostly straight. Also the grid cutting mat was very helpful in measuring the angle.

YET ANOTHER INSPIRATIONAL THREAD!...COOL! Now we get to see how you made ALL those GREAT buildings that surround the Pooh River. The new stuff looks TERRIFIC...you've GOT TO make a Hunchbacked Bell Ringer to go with the Tower. KEEP IT COMING! My terrain in progress 544694

This looks good (and disturbingly familiar My terrain in progress Icon_wink )... No problem! I might even steal the idea for a big mansion like your second building. I still need a building or two to fill up my table.

Keep it up!

I'll put a railing around it, much like the small balcony on the bell tower.

My terrain in progress Lol I meant the floor itself...I wasn't sure what the white stuff in between the wood beams was. BTW the trap door, ladders, & stairs REALLY look GOOD! EXCELLENT STUFF! My terrain in progress 544694
