| So, seen that my kickstarter for Relic Knights arrived quite a while ago, and I also started a small Infinity warband, I was in dire need of some Sci-Fi terrain… So I bought some kits @ Crisis Antwerp 2014 From Warmill a Happy Holidays booth to dream away after a day full of close quarters-stress Rear side : Without the container : Two Micro Arts studios buildings : The garage The Guard house From the leftovers, combined with a GWS 40K vehiclebit, some other plastic bits ’n pieces and a cookie-jar like I used for the roof of my square house, I constructed bunker: Re-using bits of old modems I made a container (the big red thing with white stripes) An dit fits onto the garage, with enough space left over for figs to move around I also bought a spaceship to use as a building And all of the above, plus some assorted props : And lastly, my current WIPs fort his new lil’ project of mine : Didi-didi-that’s all (for now) folks! | |

| VERY COOL! That poster of the Guy with the bleeding eye looks like something Brom would come up with. I like it; it's a different spin on SciFi. GREAT STUFF! | |

| Thanks for that! In the meantime, the scenery has had it's first test-run in my very first relic Knights game... Conclusion? Very pretty and easy for gameplay, plenty of different heights make for interesting LoS interactions, but I don't have enough yet... Here's some in-game piccies. The trees were from our clubs' stock of scenery and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it fit in. For fantasy, these are by far too regular in shape. For Sci-Fi however, they seem just like the kind of plants you'd see in an urban, well kept environment. Pictures of my plant-pots soon The deployment First blood for these guys, on my own Knight, whoops, sorry mate! Corsairs on the prowl Isabeau getting hurt severely Wildspace Gabe legging it for the objective Close combat! Bashen! Mayhem! Destruction! Oh yeah, before I forget, in my opponents' defense... He does have a painted army, but they are Star Nebula Corsairs too; since we wanted to play 2 different factions, he had to take an unpainted army... | |

| VERY COOL! Although you had said Relic Knight's for some reason or other Infinity had been on my mind. Now that I'm on the right track I can see just how WONDERFULLY the terrain goes with the minis & the game....you're right; i.e., the manicured tress do look just fine in this setting. As always, the minis look FANTASTIC in action. VERY WELL DONE! | |

That's probably because I had my Infinity Haqqislam gang posing in the first couple of sets of pictures of this thread, and the title mentions Infinity too... Will take pictures of my manicured trees/shrubbery's (I said to my wife, honey I said, fetch me a shrubbery!) once I've finished painting up my next building (from yet another manufacture, to keep things as diverse as possible. The paintjob should be the bit keeping this mumbo jumbo of building-styles together)

| Onwards and forwards... My old GWS Guard-Tower which served for my Nurgle Traitor Imperial Guard has been cleaned of all Nurgly greenstuff and twin-linked Heavy Bolters, re-primed and repainted. The manicured trees that became shrubberies as promised are included in the pictures too... Now eagerly awaiting my next Ebay delivery for the next scenery pieces... | |

| I really like the idea with all the Graffiti. However, imo they are too evenly spread out around the tower. IRL, the Graffiti are usually sprayed in places the artists/"artists" can actually reach. Up to 2,5 metres above a place one can stand on or below a window someone reached out of. Plus, for every cool Graffito there should at least ne a dozend or so tags, penises etc.... Just my thoughts of course! | |

| And very valid thoughts they are indeed! Nothing that hadn't already crossed my mind. First, this is a futuristic setting with access to different gravity-defying technologies, like the Bikes in Relic Knights and the drop-troops in Infinity. That, and I have been admiring graffiti for quite some time now, mainly in Brussels, and I regularly find/discover new drawings where the very first idea that pops into my mind is "how the **bleep** did they ever get up there " Now I had already tried out the grouped graffitis (the perks of using cut-out pieces of paper), but unfortunately, at this size, when you glue them all together in one spot, they quickly become one big blob where the naked eye can't distinguis one drawing from the next... And I've had my fair share of try-outs at tags... they all looked very bleh, not convincing and quite simply ugly, so I kind of abandoned that idea... lol - Grimscull wrote:
- artists/"artists"
There are really really good artists out there, really a pleasure to discover once you've found them, and worth a detour to go and have another look...unfortunately, there's also a very large number of "artists"

| About the tag's I agree that they add something to the the overall rundown feeling, have you tried a pen like a fineliner (with indian ink)? I used it in a apartmentbuilding i made this last year, it work out quite well! | |

| Now that does look good! It shouldn't be too difficult to find one of those pens. I'll have a lookout this weekend and if I do find one, do some test-runs Thanks for the tip! | |

| The Industrial Chic Beasty looks TERRIFIC! The Beasty has potential. I had picked up the Pegasus Power & Chemical Plant kits awhile ago & never figured out how to use them...I'll keep an eye on your progress for ideas. SO have FUN with the Whatever-it-is. | |

| I've had the Chem-plant for at the least 7 years now; I've been cannibalizing it over the years for Ork vehicle bits, Nurgle vehicle bits and whatnot. I was quite suprised actually to find out I could still make a decent terrain piece, and I seem to have enough leftover for seconds Anyways, The beastie has gotten the paintbrush treatment, and as per christians' suggestion has received it's fair share of tags... I have now promised myself that per painting-evening I will take one of my former buildings and apply tags to it before getting on to the actual painting. These come from the Deadzone accessories sprues Joined, they can be a barricade "Creative with junk" Found these on the streets, no idea whatsoever what they are or what their purpose used to be... Add 2 40K vehicle bits per "thing"... And add paint : "Creative with junk. The Sequel" I had this one lying around :an old wireless Modem to surf over a cellular EDGE/3G network, rendered completely, utterly and totally obsolete by the current generation of smartphones Add one 40K vehicle bit + some cardboard Add paint and perform some google-image-search-fu ... All of the new pieces together... And de-de-de-de That's all folks (for now anyway) | |

I am really really pleased with the result of the advert-sign. Very little work, for a very nice result.
The only downside is that I only have one of these, and I'd really like to make more of them to spread around over the battlefield....

| COOL STUFF! Making things out of apparent junk is also a favorite activity with moi; AND they sign & the thingies (they look like radio controlled commodes to moi) look TERRIFIC. The Industrial Chic Whatever finished up in SPLENDID fashion. You do need a few Gang members armed with spray cans though. All are VERY WELL DONE once more! | |

| Somemore battlefield "rubble" A second radar : I've been searching for cheap wireless modems to turn into billboards, but all I've found up until now is this one, another shape, but it doesn't look remotely as good as the previous one... I bought some screws, and they came in a very nice box (idea inspired by a fellow club-member) With some added warning-signs : And with some Infinity figs for size comparison : | |
