Jackanory's WIP Clan Pestilens skaven, updated 29.11

I realise you can't see much but it gives you a bit of a feel!
(l-r plague initiatex2, plague monk, plague sorcerer, plague priest)

Yeah, the feel is rough, but good so far!

I was getting jealous of everyone posting pictures of what they'd been doing so I bust out a quick picture of what I'd been doing lol! Hopefully soon enough it'll all be moved to the gallery

The Green Stuffing looks REALLY cool! I LOVE watching these kind of things evolve. SO get cracking, Man!

Here's an update, just need to make the second plague priest who's a censer bearer and a plague ridden rat ogre (seriously, he's gonna be disgusting!). I'm scratch building them so it might be a while before they're done!!!

5x Henchmen, all armed with various blunt objects (clubs), daggers and slings:
Group1, their leader is seriously ill, check out his head! Also that lantern is gonna be glowing green; I wanted a lantern but I figured skaven don't really rely on eyesight so it's just some sort of warpstone lamp:

Group2, the back shot shows one of the henchmen carrying a back pack as well as a few bits of game. I figured the lowliest henchmen would do all the carrying:

Those are some terific conversion! Very cool!

The spoiler idea for the various models is pretty good, by the way, too!

Your sculpting efforts have produced some TRULY unique minis; AND you've captured the feel [sticky, squishy, generally disgustingly gross ] of the Plague Monks PERFECTLY. I agree with the ratty little chap you picked as your favorite; VERY dynamic positioning, fits the mind set of the subject being a Psycho Nutter.

Definitely worth taking your time paintng; wouldn't want to waste ALL that GREAT Green Stuffinng. Do you think you could "take your time" in a hurry? No, huh?!

Reality DOES have a NASTY way of interferring with more enjoyable aspects of life, but, after you graduate & get that BIG BUCKS job, think of ALL the extra dinaro you'll have to spend on minis. Of course, work might cut into painting time too . REALITY SUCKS!

That plague-priest looks a bit more like a master assassin, though a suitable paintjob will change that

Ok so the last couple of models are more or less finished sculpting-wise but I have a quick question about the ogre, do you think he looks better with or without the victim? I don't want to stray too much into comedy and I fear that having a hapless human dangling from his hand may turn it that way (the chain will be superglued into a dynamic shape by the way)

And here's my censer bearer entirely scratch built, I'm so pleased with this model! I figure that because he's carrying such a dangerous weapon (for himself) he's amassed a bunch of trinkets to dangle off himself for luck! The cat's inspired by a bit of concept art for Warhammer Online:

Wow! Just Wow!

They both a really great. The Censor bearer is a little cooler because of the scratch-build'ness but they both rock. I do like the poor human victim on the Ogre, by the way. Although I must confess that you can't tell perfectly from that one picture and from that angle. From what I can tell though they both are stunning!

I really like the paint jobs on your fiinished ones as well, keep 'em coming.

On the Rat Ogre Question: I lean toward the with victim model, but I can't really tell from the photo.

I am very sorry to say that, but it seems as if Jackanory now has to start producing new skaven models for all of us
The censer bearer looks so damn great, now you can really imagine why everyone's so afraid of the Skaven (in all the fluff)

Wow! Your GS sculpts of the skaven are better than the originals! The Face is the best part, very narrow and gaunt.

Can't wait to see them painted.

Wow! I never anticipated this much praise, thank you so much guys! Also glad I'm providing some inspiration for some of you! Might be a while before you see any progress on the painting side, should really start knuckling down with uni work...although it's christmas holidays in 2 weeks! w00t!

Wow, Jack! You just MAKE your own minis, Excellent job on both the censer and the ogre. I like them very much.
