The time has come for me to bore you guys with the boring details of my boring Golden Toms’ entry which didn’t even get an honorable mention (which isn’t at all surprising when you look at what I was up against… quite simply totally, completely, entirely and utterly out of my league
My fig only had one small conversion, I did however decide to get everything out of the 50mm base which we were allowed to work on. 50mm isn’t all that much, so I decided to work upwards… With cork, balsawood and pebbles I made some shifty stairs, with a (plastic) pillar on top.
The ivy leaves are seeds from a birch whilst the branches are done with some metal wire.
To clutter up the stairs I used a small rodent, some schrooms (old Night Gobbo sprues) and a couple of skulls…
As the fig I was going to use is quite bulky, I painted the base separately
And I painted up my Warboss on a separate base
Putting both together, this is what my final submission looked like :

Considering the subject....BEAUTIFUL! The OUTSTANDING base provides the perfect setting for a WONDERFULLY painted creation. VERY WELL DONE!

Very nice base. The purple on the mushroom turned out particularly lovely. And I freaking love that oversized warboss model. Coming from Warhammer where models have to rank up properly I keep seeing people struggle to fit him into a unit, but he looks GREAT on the bigger base.
