Pinups? Is this one of those above ground cemeteries or will there be headstones too? I love the faces on the crypts. Always reminds me of Christmas Carol...

| Thanks, V.K....the pinups sound like an idea. There should be quite a jumble of tombstones...I have a couple of packs of Renedra headstones. I agree about A Christmas Carol; I have Marley as one of the (mostly) deceased. | |

| With the completion of the first Mausoleum, it seemed like a few more TRULY MEDIOCRE photos were in order. SO: The Graveyard as it looks now...well actually as it looked a few minutes ago which is pretty close to now: The Mausoleum of Lamprey: The interior: Inside the Crypt: The second Mausoleum is finished & primed. When painted, I'll inflict further photos upon you. In the meantime, your comments would be appreciated...cherished. | |

| You know what'd make for one excellent add-on to that piece?
An old fashioned phone-line, you know where you lift the speaker-horn from the actual phone and have a wire disappearing behind that trapdoor..."You fool! Warren is dead!"

| Poor Warren brought on a Mary, Queen of Scots moment: "There. She's dead now." "No, I'm not." I like the phone idea. I could have a switchboard in the Chapel or the Catacombs manned by Ernestine of the Phone Co...talk about frightening . | |

| Thanks, Ben! Other than in the ruined Chapel, that's the last of the trap doors. Next I'll creepy up some of the Renedra tombstones, paint Mausoleum #2, & start on the Chapel from HELL!...it's not actually, but that has such a nice ring to it. | |

| The insulation foam has a natural texture to it, but I also do a layer of Woodland Scenics Foam Putty & a light sanding; the "fan" variety of foam has little hole that need filling to avoid spray rot. | |

| what kind of foam are you using? sorry if this has been covered before, but since I have only been on the board for a few months, I'm a little late to the party. | |

If it's a repeat, that's okay; I don't mind repeating myself at all. For the last few gaming boards, I've used fairly dense insulation foam board that are precut to 2' X 2'. The hills, islets, & such are made of 3/4" & 1" pink foam (RV5 I think) with some lower RV blue foam. The buildings, walls etc. are 1/4" pink foam; this is of a type called fan foam; re, it's 2' X 4' sheets that are joined along the long edge so that it resembles a fan when it opens up. The RV on this is 1.5 due to it's relative thinness; I've gotten some fan foam that is two ply with the grain reversed on the second ply making it tougher...like plywood. Up on Long Island the pink foam is less dense (lower RV) than the blue foam. Here in Texas the reverse is true. If both types are offered take the one with the higher RV...pink in this state. If you have any other questions about the foam or anything else, I'll be glad to answer them.

| Most of the foam I have I've gotten from Home Depot. I got a couple sheets 3/4" Blue Foam (a little too soft) & some 1/8" Blue Fan Foam from Lowe's...it works well for roofing. | |

Indeed, I find myself repeating more and more as I grow older, I mean wiser... Love the most recent shots of the bone yard. Is that greenish blue roof oxidized metal? If so I would take the color down the sides of the crypt a bit, at least that's what happens to the local buildings with roofs like that...

| Thanks, V.K.; I'll try the verdigris drip on Mausoleum #2. If it looks good I'll do the same on #1. I have all but the center of the board painted now with the first batch of tombstones & Mausoleum #1 glued down. The remains of the front gate/wall is fabricated & partially primed. I got some suggestions about a statue that I may try...or not. The momentum is building...sort of. | |

| Thanks, V.K.! It's somewhere between Nightmare Before Christmas & Beetlejuice. With AT&T you get 10 Gigs a month to play with. Converting from Window XP to Windows 7 used up 6.66...that number, 666, speaks volumes about the Diabolical Nature of Bill Gates. | |

| Lovely stuff, as usual! This reminds me of a TV show that showed a cemetery in the Phillipines where hundreds of citizens moved in to due to lack of available living space in houses, etc. I can imagine some interesting characters living in that quirky graveyard. Joao | |

| Thanks for the kind reply, JoaoS! The Denizens should be interesting although "living" there might be stretching things. I started adding some Mushrooms to the flora; then on to the Chapel & the Characters... OH BABY! | |

| Thanks, V.K.! This has been one of those projects where one thing done gives me ideas for at least one or two more things to do. The Chapel should be cool...it doubles as the lair of the Rotten Belles. Lots of interesting things to do. | |
