| still think the village needs a church tower type of building, but the tower I had built was just too big to fit into the village, even when it had it’s own spot on the top of the island. The top of the spire looks great to me, so I’m building a new slimmer tower, that can fit into the center street rather than the ring buildings. I think one lower tier on this will do it. Funny thing about towers, I build them from the top down, rather than from the ground up. Also, this got buried pretty quick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UybY_s5E728&feature=youtu.be | |

Great work with your church, so much variation in angles, etc. And that cobblestone is magical!

| That is a LOVELY spire. Seeing your pieces in this stage of development is not only inspiring, but a fine source of how-to ideas. - JoaoS wrote:

Joao I got an image of a flaming pigeon spiraling toward the ground.

| Got a lot of progress on the new church tower. It’s slimmer than the old one, but still the tallest building in town. I think I figured out how to make this one work, by not putting it at the top of the hill. You can see hunting lodge up there, formerly the tallest in town. The tower will be built into a small chapel. | |

What's the statue on the top? Thanks everyone. It's a Confrontation Fiana up there. I'm also going to making a more religious spire too, the spire is held in place with magnets.

I think so. I have both versions actualy, one with the pipes, one with the knives. The one mounted doesn't have any arms attached though.

| That does look COOL; it's a serendipitous event...actually its an accidentally attractive mud puddle, but the former description has a more musical ring to it. Getting to the painting is what I've been looking forward to. OH BABY, THAT'S GREAT WORK! | |

| The last two pictures are just amazing and show how realistic this is already becoming.
I also like the stonework and how it looks stained and different in places - yet another element of realism!

| More work from yesterday, rehabbing the Owl Corner. I just wasn’t happy with the prospect of trying to make the round corner look good. It just wasn’t looking right to me, the rooflines didn’t work out, plus the round roof would make it extra difficult to do a scaled roof. So I tore the birdhouse roof and started over. I also built up all of the supports for the upper level. | |

| That is a BEAUTIFUL alteration that fits the feel of the building better than the round tower. Knowing when to drop an idea & not force things to fit is an ability worth developing...I've had a lot of projects stall due to my stubborn steak. As always GREAT & INSPIRING WORK! | |

There is a small shop not too far from here called the Owl Corner, kind of a narrow, skinny little place. Inspired.

| I love Gripenhem. It feels like such a profilic and... somehow organic town. The incline of the city really helps it out too I think, it reminds me of old town quarters I've walked around in Stockholm and Tallinn. Also really love the details like the statue holding up the tower and the flood gates. I also really like the way the streets widen out into open squares and kind of zig-zag upwards. You can tell that a lot of love and probably a lot of time goes into crafting each individual building. Keep doing an awesome job! Theo | |

| Got these from Amazon, from a company called tin warriors, shipped from Ukraine. They are biggies, will be used as statues on the temple. I’ll have to trim Athena’s base a bit though. 54mm. | |
