Trying to upgrade some pre-painted Warcraft figures.

The miniatures look pretty cool...nice weapons choice as well. Are you planing on stripping off the paint first?  

Probably should have given it a try but I was worried that it would melt the bendy plastic.

I've had good luck with Simple Green & Parson's Ammonia, but I agree that the soft plastic is a scary prospect for paint removal.  

Managed to get a bit of paint on one of them plus working on the salamanders at the same time.

Interesting Skink-conversion. What are you going to use those for (and the Warcraft-minis)?

At this point I have given up pretending that I will ever actually play any wargames again, i'm converting and painting for the fun of it only.

I imagine beastmen raiders with a minotaur might have been an option otherwise, possibly using the salamanders as ungors and working on some bigger ones for Gors (I have the bodies just no heads that look right, trying to get hold of some of the OOP Saurus heads).
