| Thanks, oldschool! I'm glad you like the stuff so far. The pieces may or may not show off my modeling/painting ability, but they have certainly underscored my tenuous hold on reality...such as it is. | |

| Great job Alan. I like how the treatment of the skin of the arms seems to match the stem of the pumpkin. Spooky. | |

| Thanks once again for all your kind words, Guys. The matching skin tones were accidental; I used my standard Zombie skin coloration on the arms & tried for a realistic color on the stem. The way they go together is a plus...don't tell anyone this wasn't the plan. I'm getting worked up about the in-flight Mushrooms myself, izmerul...this could be dangerous or not. | |

| Oh Nala, you make me feel useless. I wish I had the energy for such a great project. I hope this summer will bring some time for me to at least finish some of my projects. As usual, you combine great colourful painting with vivid imagination. Great stuff! | |

| Thanks MUCHO for your kind commentary, folketsfiende...glad you like the stuff. I've been berating myself for the oh-so-slow progress I've been making...Spring Fever, Opening Day/Week in Baseball, & a generally lazy nature have been the main excuses. However, I've just about finished the second of the new Pumpkin Heads with the remaining two coming along. There's also a Pumpkin Golem & a Reaper Scare Crow from Von Kurst in the works. | |

I'd like to see the set up of all the things you've build for now, that should be a memorable table.

| SO..two new pieces to inflict on Y'all: i.e., Yet Another Pumpkin Head AND a WONDERFUL reaper Scarecrow donated by & named for T.B.M.F. own Von Kurst...we'll check with playtable about the resemblance. The new Pumpkin Head in The Patch: Von Kurst, Himself: Group Shot: As always, your commentary would be GREATLY appreciated. | |

| OHHH!! I am loving Von Kurst!!!
One question that has been nagging at me, how is the playability of those bases you have for you pumpkins? They look a bit top heavy and I am curious on how they preform on slopes?

| Nice Very clean colors, yet a nice tattered look. Ive been looking at that scarecrow several time on the reaper webstore, and love to model, but never had en excuse to buy him again, it looks really good! | |

| Thanks for all the kind comments. The Lads have been a lot of fun to make up & paint; receiving compliments on them is a major motivating factor with moi...makes getting up in the morning almost worth the effort. @oldschool: I cheat on the bases; i.e., they're weighted & filled to give them some more stability, although they wont stand up on a slope of greater than 45 degrees. | |

| Hey another quick question, I notice when you paint you prime black and highlight grey before you actually paint. Any method to that madness?

Actually I do a thin black undercoat & then a white dry brush. This gives a darker effect to the shadows & brightens the highlights in subsequent layers; AND it makes picking out the details easier on my old eyes.

| Well the Lads...such as they are...are finally done. AND here they are...this would be an appropriate time for those of discerning taste to leave the thread: The Dashing Guy in the Patch: & Friend: The Reaper: & Friends: The Patch Beast: Group Portrait: Whatcathink...translation: your commentary would be once more appreciated. | |

| I'm seeing some zombie hand swaps on these new lads. What do they look like without weapons? Just curious.
I like what you've done with the pumpkin-heads. The colors and the basing really make a great mini, be they the 'real' colors or not.
I do think the sculptor should have included the stem. The heads seem unfinished without it.
