| Always bugged me that we never saw one of these before. I went ahead recently and produced this as a gift for my friend rev larny to add to his Restless Dead warband. Rules Note: A Grave Robber is armed with a pick (counts as axe) and a lantern. The shovel (for show) is for digging holes so carefully. Enjoy, Stuart. | |

| Very nice, Stu! Is he based on an old metal zombie? You again took that photos with your mobile photo, right? | |

| He reminds me of Marty Feldman; that's a BIG PLUS. VERY nice, quasi-comical mini. VERY fuzzy photo. WELL DONE otherwise !

| Hey guys. This is the finished job Tom. I added some brown reeds/long-grasses to the base of the Nightmare-drawn wagon which rev larny modelled. Didn't bother adding any of the single models. In hindsight, one clump of dead grass would be a nice touch. ;-) I painted the model with the same earthy colours and in a similar style to how rev produced his Restless Dead warband. I took a quick snap from my Sony Ericsson handset upon finishing it. This model has been based in the same way as I based rev's entire warband for him. Edges of the slotta are Bestial Brown and the covering is a product used for potting, called vermiculite! It's unpainted because it naturally gives an earthy sandy look and it even has a nice metallic (mica) sheen to it. The warband of Undead warriors is themed around the Baleful Deserts found between the Ogre Kingdoms & Cathay, hence the basing style. This vermiculite stuff, for anyone who is interested, is... A naturally occuring, non-toxic soft mica mineral, heated to a high temperature which produces a lightweight, sterile, laminated structure. It is brilliant for modelling too. It's cheap and gives a fantastic rubbled effect. I prefer using it to other materials (which I've tried) by a mile because it's 100% scratch-friendly to your models when they are clambering about across course terrain features. Best to give it a coat of pva glue or something similar first though. The model itself, strangely, is no zombie!! That must be camera trickery, or top notch brush skillz. It's one of the Citadel Villagers which I picked up, the model was called Sgt Allard. A militia-man with a club, which I extended to become a handy looking spade. I took great pleasure in applying dreg-like qualities to this wretch of a Hired Sword! He is definately suffering from a nasty strain of pox and pink-eye, though his eyes look a little too close together for the Marty Feldman comparison DeafNala. Regards, Stuart. B-) | |

| Heya.
The pick is from the Chaos Marauders sprue. The handle of the shovel was the club which this villager model was originally holding! The shovel head is just a bit of plastic which I cut into what I judged to be the approximate shape 'n' size of a shovel.
I could not find a Citadel miniature armed with a spade, hence I resorted to going D.I.Y. with this grave robbing tool.
Cheers,
Werekin.

| The model was a Citadel villager. Well it was meant to be, and the tab on the base read Sgt Allard. He looked zombified to me even before I gave him the dreaded pink-eye!
Feel free to rip me off Lord Siwoc!
Regards,
Stuart. | |

I'm sure I've seen others, but the only one that comes to mind are the Reaper's Town Folk VI: painted by Robert Cruse

Pretty cool, eh?! | |

The grave robber looks as an rejected witch hunter He needs to be eaten COOL IDEA...well not the "eaten" part. In the Mordheim Rules book there's the Tale of Witch Hunter Marius Dire, who in the end is victorious over his Necromantic foe, the Tainted One, only to be lured into reading the fiend's foul book. The Witch Hunter look to the mini COULD be the backgound to an intersting continuation of the story. Sorry for the off-topic, Stu...kind of. | |

| Yep... Had the same thought and bought the miniatures. I will use the witch hunter gravedigger as a an Dreg. Here is the Ghoul King from Heresy Miniatures that I will use as an Ogre Bodyguard for my Undead warband that I am starting up. He kind of looks as a Grave Robber
