This are the battle reports and stories created by Dozer, our Imperial Renegade (IR) player. Think of the IR as the very beginning of Chaos infiltration on a planet's population. No, they do not wear Chaos symbols on their foreheads... they are 'regular' people who desire some change from the government. They try pacifist demonstrations, but their efforts are answered with brutal Imperial force. Forced to go underground (in fear for their lives) they get organized. Their goal is NOT to separate from the Imperium, but for some governmental change.

Some of their leaders are confronted with a moral dilemma... maybe they put a bomb to destroy a new (not functional) power plant to show their intentions, when they discover there are children playing inside... do they continue the demolition to show that their are serious (making the children martyr's for their cause) or do they back off? Once they cross that 'moral' line, Chaos starts corrupting their leaders. Only high ranking officers know of these 'deals with the devil'... they think they can make a pack with Chaos, win the change and leave Chaos. This is a Squad for the intelligent player.

In game terms, the Chaos influence is subtle... but present. Makes for GREAT reading! Enjoy!!!

DoZer's Log - Death to the Corpse God

As a long day fell to an end, Boreas walked his lonely path back to his ruined hab block as the fading warmth of the sun fell from the sky. He had spent the past couple of hours sitting at the local watering hole, listening to all the fat lazy frakkers talk about the war going on.

‘What a shit hole’ he says to himself as he steps through some shell craters.

‘I’ll show all those frakkers’ says Boreas as his stumbles on a busted Aquila statue laying in the middle of the street, as he rounds the corner to his hab.

Boreas unlocks the door, walks in and shouts ‘Mom I’m home, what’s for dinner? Am I too late for the broadcast?’

‘No my dear, you got home just in time. Unfortunately all I have for you are these protein bars that the nice soldier gave me when he came by earlier today. He has such a nice temperament considering he has augmented legs.’

‘I hope that son of a grox gets his arms blown off.’ mutters Boreas under his breath. His mom sticks her head out from the kitchen and says 'What’s that dear?' ‘Nothing Mom, I’m going to go listen to the broadcast’

Boreas sits down next to the vox and tunes into the local news broadcast, listening for any sign of the war on this cursed planet coming to an end. The only news on tonight was there were some sightings of some gretchins running around with toy guns that shot corks and flags with the noise BANG!! on them, purposely jumping out and scaring the good people of this town before running away cackling hysterically. The news then turned to the unfounded fear of more xenos on the planet before it gave away to static...

’Good people of this town! Hear the word of what is true and JUST!!!! Do not believe the ramblings of these false Imperial servants! All they do is ruin this planet, destroy manufactoriums, and corrupt its people! Stand up and fight for what is yours!! Do not stand idly by and watch your life and the life of your children fall to ruin!! They take your food, they take your water. They STARVE this world, while they sit fat and warm in the rich hab blocks. Stand up and FIGHT, take part in bringing justice to these Imperial Dogs!!'

The vox speaker then fades to static again. ‘What was THAT?!?!’ said Boreas’s Mom as she stood in the doorway.

‘I think that was the Resistance, you have heard the stories about them.’ says Boreas, ‘It seems they have figured out a better way to spread there word.’

‘What horrible people, do they not realize the Imperial Guard is here to save us from the foul xenos?’ says his Mom.

‘Well Mom, I think they have a point, all we have seen is ruin and destruction. There is almost no food, no water, nothing. I am tired of sitting idly by and watching this happen. I am going out and finding them’ says Boreas as he stands up and digs out his old PDF pack, and throws some provisions in it. His mom sits there wide eyed as she watches him drag out a battered case with a faded Imperial Aquila stamped on the side. He pulls out a well used but perfectly cared for and greased Autogun. He then pulls out empty magazines and loads up 4, and sticks boxes of ammo in the pack also, with some more protein bars that he had stashed in there for this specific purpose.

‘But you shouldn’t...’ she stammers.

“No Mom, I must, and I will.’

As Boreas walks out the door, his mom says ‘The Emperor protects, believe in Him.’

‘No Mom, he does not’ says Boreas as the door slams shut

===========================================

Meanwhile across town...

‘Well that went well, thank the gods we found those busted vox casters.’ says Enforcer Elias. ‘Yes, we will need more numbers before we start the final phases of our master’s plans’ says Priest Xaphan in an almost mperceptible voice. ‘Keep your goddamn voices down.’ growls Commander DoZer, as the fading sunlight reveals his scared face. DoZer looks over at Elias, ‘Did you make sure the signal was unencrypted, so that damned Commissar will come where we want him?’ ‘Sure did sir, that signal was way out in the open, there is no way the high command missed that.’ ‘Good, let them come. They will eventually lead us to what we require.’ says Priest Xaphan, ‘It has been revealed to me.’

‘Commander, we have long range contacts on the auspex.’ says Sergeant Rio as he and Sergeant Tank walk into the room.
Sergeant Tank pulls off his darkened visor, revealing large and distended eyes. Grabbing a hold of two ivory handled pistols; he grins evilly as his twirls them in his hands and says ‘Good, about time I’ve got targets worthy of my babies.’

Commander DoZer turns to Sergeant Rio, ‘Ready the men.’ he says. ‘My pleasure sir.’ says Sergeant Rio, and as he turns, he visage briefly fades into the darkened continence of an entity he welcomed into his body, a visage of horned and feral face, with long dangerous fangs. They approached from two vectors, forcing Commander DoZer to split his forces. He ordered his men to hunker down and wait for the enemy to come within range. As the Imperial dogs approached the killing zone, Boomer, one of there Heavy Weapon Specialists, ran forward in a fit of bloodlust, trying to get them within range of his shotgun.

‘That one has a touch of the Blood God in him’ muttered Priest Xaphan ‘We will have to keep an eye on that one.’ voxed DoZer as he watched him run from the upstairs window. ‘Dunce, take Elias and Rio to the East tower and get me some eyes on that other squad.’ voxed DoZer. With most of his men facing the squad to the West, DoZer placed his trust in his ability of his three officers to keep control of the two men on the east.

Sergeant Tank placed himself on an upstairs balcony, with a perfect view of the courtyard. He stood there twirling his ivory pistols, waiting impatiently for the enemy to show themselves. Finally they creep into the open, like the dogs they were. Tank unleashed blazing fire from his pistols dropping numerous imperial pigs where they stood, before being blasted off his feet from autogun fire. Hails of fire streaked across the courtyard, wounding numerous friend and foe alike.

Two flame thrower troopers, who walked with a funny gait, ran forward and unleashed hot hell on the exposed Renegade militia, torching one to flaming bits. On the east, Elias stood up and unleashed a hail of fire from his captured Hellgun at a crouching trooper, only to miss between his legs! ‘Goddammit, didn’t that training manual say to aim low when shooting from an elevated position.’ says Elias. ‘I didn’t know you could read.’ says Dunce as he leans over to unleash rounds from his autogun at some exposed officers.

‘Oh screw you, you son of a...’ The rest of the words did not come out as Elias took a grievous wound to the chest as he leaned over the bulwark to fire.

‘Sir it’s time to pull out, we have sucked them into where we want them’ voxed Xaphan. ‘Alright, let’s get out of here. Fall back to site E’ voxed DoZer to his band of warriors.’ They fell back in good order, and vacated to the prescribed site. The site was a perfect choice. It allowed for a view over the battle, and a direct view into DoZer’s command room. DoZer stood there, contemplating about the day. Elias took a wound to the chest, but due to Xaphans unnatural powers he ealed it closed. The wound effected Elias so deeply, that it hardened his soul, and turned him into a frenzy of bloodlust.

As he watched the Imperialists burn there way through the downstairs, DoZer watched that thrice cursed Commissar dig through this office, finding his personnel dataslate. ‘Do you think they will fall for it.’ says Xaphan. ‘Dammit man what did I tell you about walking up on me like that.’ screams DoZer as he whirls around and plants his Bolt Pistol against Xaphan’s head.

‘I know sir, it cannot be helped. It is how the masters saw to make me. But sir, do you think they will fall for it.’ ‘They better. I lost another man today. What did you put on that dataslate?’ growls DoZer. ‘It is a low entity of the warp. It takes the form of the viewers’ deepest desires. Hopefully it will be passed on to the two flame throwers of his. It will affect them most, due to there debased desires. Those two will make perfect servants of one of our masters.’ says Xaphan.

‘Which ones were those again?’ mutters DoZer. ‘You know which ones sir, they had that funny walk, almost like they had something shoved up there...’ ‘COMMANDER!!’ says Sergeant Rio as he bursts into the command room. ‘What!?!’ snarls DoZer as he whips around, extremely displeased at being interrupted. ‘Sir, we have found a local prisoner who has escaped from the imperial prison. Also sir... we... well there is a local here who is willing to join our band. His name is Boreas. He says he heard our broadcast earlier.’

‘I do not care what his name is. Bring him into the fold.’ says DoZer as he turns his back and continues watching the Commissar’s men burn everything...
