Rules Compendium

Hi! I'm new here, but have been lurking in the miniatures section checking stuff out for a while. It has been years since i have been able to play Mordheim as my warhammer peer group have all grown up and become boring folk.

My favourite thing about the game was the infinite breadth and diversity that it had to offer, and because of this i dreamed of composing an ultimate rules compendium, a single book that would contain all the rules ever written. I had a stab a few years ago, but alas it is probably out of date, incorrect or lacking in some part.

has anyone tried anything similar? I have contacts who can print b+w novel sized books up to 750 pages. i was thinking of organising a compendium of rules, maybe in volumes and having them printed in this convenient format. (for non-commercial use of course!)

First you should define what's "all the rules". There is a ton of them out there, and at least half of it is not even close to playtested. Then, a lot has disappeared in the last few years, so you have to do a lot of research. There are so many house rules, which often contradict each other, etc.

I think an ultimate compendium would not be worth the effort. It's so difficult to find anything when it's all in one volume, and it would be a pain to keep it updated.
