| Thanks guys. Some more shots for you; 1. Here are directions to the Border Town from the the City of the Damned. 2. There are a few means for henchmen to traverse this big ugly rock and one way is the ropebridge. 3. Counts those hair-pin bends as they are a killer on your wagons. 4. A short tunnel runs through the (detachable) mountain peak and there's storage space below. 5. This angle captures a lot of the terrain details. 6. A section of the Silk Road slides out to reveal the beginnings of an underground lair. Regards, Werekin. | |

| Holy Cripes man! Just spectacular. I do alittle bit of terrain, but mine looks like a prehistoric cavebaby fingerpaint job compared to this. Awesome work! | |

| Oh man that just looks too much fun! I would be jealous but I've recently found a new gaming group in Bristol and by the looks of it they have a fairly extensive Mordheim board in the works. I especially love the rope bridge and the underground lair, definitely appeals to my dungeon crawling side! | |

| BOOOOMBA! I love the different "zones" on the table: The winding mountainous path, the cliff with the suspension bridges, the underground catacombs... Brilliant. _________________ | |

| Here is a sneak preview from the Border Town Burning gallery section. Carl Merrell produced a few scenery pieces for me to use with my themed gaming table. While I was slaving away on the Mountain, Carl accepted a commission to produce a piece of terrain based on one of my favourite pieces of artwork by the artist John Avon. I met John when I was on the MTG Pro-Tour in Barcelona and we became friends. I hope he likes Carl's interpretation as much as I do. After a bloody encounter with a rival marauder warband a Norseman is seperated from his tribe. In the harsh landscape of the Northern Wastes the Bondsman now fights for his life against a warrior of Chaos in the barbarian ring.Robert Whetton worked on the photography. My terrain board is providing a stable base and I painted a couple of figures to represent something that can and will actually happen in your Border Town Burning campaigns! Here is the original artwork owned by Wizards of the Coast. Regards, Werekin. | |

| That IS an incredible piece of work. In addition to being JUST fanatastic to look upon, the gaming possibilities are endless. A Challenge Circle/Pit Fighter Arena spring to mind [okay, considering the mind, hop feeblely, BUT enthusiastically to mind ]. MtG DID/DOES have some VERY striking pieces of art, even though WoC's business ethics make GW look loke a charitable institution. | |

| As you can see, this terrain board has been living at my local GW store. Our campaign has pretty much climaxed now, so store staff recently queried when would I be able to 'get rid of it'... :-O
Regards,
Stu.

| Yeh I can't believe that either, they're fairly short of space in the Bmouth GW though, that's the only explanation I can think of :/ | |

| It is currently in the bunker in Poole where they have plenty of space to host it. It's just that the staff have asked when is it going. Running a campaign in Bournemouth is one idea. The staff there seemed pretty keen. .It's a shame that space is a premium there, like you said.

Werekin. | |

That's rather sad. Perhaps the staffers don't feel they want to be responsible for possible damage to the board. War Gamers are fine, creative folk, but tend to be ham fisted, graceless oafs.

| I think it's fairly normal for GW stores to offer this choice: give us the board, or take it with you. I suppose it makes sense, as you can just make up a figure of value if it gets damaged, and they don't want to have terrain that they might rely on but it not be there. | |

Do you know what he used to plaster the outside of the platform? Looks like... well, plaster. But I guess if real plaster (or otherwise very hard/brittle) stuff was used, it would be prone to being damaged if the piece was handled/transported roughly. Or has anyone else used some stuff like this and can give a recommendation?
