Thank you all for your nice comments! I did enjoy painting these little suckers although I am not a big dwarf fan normally. They're pretty cool and I too especially like the "gas mask" one on the left. Wickeeed! Smile

Thank you, guys!

The rust effect is super simple. I drybrushed the axe with Boltgun Metal, then added drops of heavily watered down Tin Bitz. I sometimes use a second, dry brush to spread the drop on the surface. That's it actually.

I did use the large axes to experiment a bit and tried the scratches which came out... interesting. Smile They are simply small black stripes with a white stripe below them.
