Anybody have luck converting the game into a D20?

Friends and I have been playing Mordheim for several years, but always get burnt out of a campaign after 4-5 games. dice rolls being 2+ (especially for range) gets old especially when leveling up is so feast or famine.

Has anybody been able to concert the game successfully to a D20 format so that campaigns last longer and a little more in depth when it comes to items and rolls?

We play for 20+ games per campaign and have for 19 yrs, so I am not feeling your pain exactly.

Might be the mix of warbands in your campaigns, might be just playing in Mordheim (which admittedly I do not do much). (We spend lots of time in Lustria and Araby).

means exactly.
-do you mean base 2+ to hit? Like if your warrior is BS 5 or higher?
-do you mean 2+ for cover and long range?

As for a D20 fix, I am not familiar with all of the various 'heims, etc that fans have written, but I hear that Frostgrave is a D20 skirmish game system.

it seems to us that early campaign in mordheim can sway heavily if the right characters get the +1 to hit in range or the +1 Str for melee.

I am not sure how you are able to get that many games team per campaign, that is great! there is usually about 6 of us per campaign and its pretty much over after 4 or 5. We play with the tower cryer + the original (no elves) warbands. I guess maybe those lizardman just mess up my dwarfs with their spells too quickly

We tried to get into frostgrave, but just couldn't get the right feeling when there are only to characters (mage and mage apprentice) that level up or get gear.

I was hoping somebody had a quick conversion sheet to change it into a D20 game.

I haven't seen one, but I haven't really been looking either. A few years ago there was talk of converting to D10, but I never saw any progress on that.

Back in the 80s there were tons of Dwhatever to D20 conversion sheets in gaming magazines for roleplaying games, if that would help.

I always like 6 person campaigns as you can get a lot of games in with that number of players. I guess we are playing the long game, since we know from experience that there is one. You can get killed for 10 games straight and come back unbeatable for the next 10 games.

Or you can be like my friend Jim and get killed for 20 games straight
