| Hello all, as you all know, I'm Burlok Blackaxe the warpdust addicted dwarf treasure hunter who misspells his own name As it should be quite obvious this is my PLOG for my witch hunters, dwarf treasure hunters, and skaven. As I am quite the lazy bastard I didn't manage to reinstall the camera software on my new computer untill well after the good daylight has passed. So, tomorrow I will try to have the WIP of my dwarf warband up here for you all to gawk at and dismiss. Dwarf treasure hunters. HEROES. Noble: axe and mace. 93GC Engineer: crossbow and hammer. 78GC Slayer 1: 2 dwarf axes. 80GC Slayer 2: double handed axe. 65GC HENCHMEN. Thunderer: crossbow and mace. 68GC Thunderer: crossbow and hammer. 68GC Clansman: axe and hammer. 48GC 500 GC. 7 Model count. Warband Rating: 70 Here's the roster so far, the centre piece for the warband are my slayers them being a husband and wife team out for vengeance against a possesed warband who's magister kidnapped and sacrificed their children and of course sending them to take the oath in their grief. the slayers you can see in the artwork in my avatar and sig. I spent a good deal fo the day searching for a suitible dwarf girl mini or someone who would take a comission to make one for me and I found it! eureka miniatures down here in Aus itself makes female dwarf troll slayers as sculpted by Victoria Lamb herself! the first(and so far ONLY) woman to win a slayer sword in any of the golden daemon competitions, the link is below the miniature in question is troll slayer rank and file 1(a cut and repostioning of her arms and a bit of filling and a little resculpting of her "assets" and it'll be perfect). http://eurekamin.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=87_126_740&products_id=10436 | |

| My pleasure to be of some small assistance. Ral Partha/Iron Wind had a trio of Dwarf Barbarians that might have worked, but they are SO MUCH smaller than GW's 28mm minis. | |

| Ral Partha! that's the company who I was thinking of before! by smaller do you mean in scale? because GW uses heroic scale or do you mean in actual height? like they're only 25mm? | |

| Ral Partha, now Iron Wind Metals [ www.ironwindmetals.com ] are "true" 25mm minis as opposed to GW's [ AND who isn't? ] 28-32mm scale. SO..the RP stuff would come up roughly to a GW's shoulder. Considering that most females tend to be a bit shorter than their male counterparts, this MIGHT not be a bad mix. I've got the babe kicking around SOMEWHERE in the Dusty Vaults of Packrattiness; I'll see if I can find, at least for a comparison check. | |

| Hi, in my opinion the reapers one is the best detailed & nice posed one and she comes from MrNala,a huge expert. With some Conversions (in the hair & giving her axes) she will be the housewife wich every respectable dwarf would like to have. And for your brave husband and furious dad I'll use the best dwarf slayer mini of all times: the one from avatars of war. http://www.avatars-of-war.com/images/aow01.jpg .Hope we can see them soon, and if some day you're from barcelona, my magister will be pleased of be the badboy on your story | |

| I said I'd get some piccies for you boys, now didn't I? well here they are First up are my cobbled bases, these were done with greenstuff applied to the bases and then by taking a sculpting tool(I use an old surgical probe) and making the cobble stones themselves. gave them a black undercoat and then a drybrush with tausept ocher, once that dried I gave them a heavy wash of devlan mud(I bloody love the stuff) and let dry. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/182.jpgNext now are my melee heroes and henchman, the noble, 2 slayers(I think I should note that the slayer with 2 maces is just a stand in till I can get my hands on eureka or reaper dwarf girl mini's) and my clansman. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/183.jpgNow we come to my engineer and the thunderer's. The engineer's crossbow is made from a dwarf pistol hand from the 6th ed dwarf regiment box with the pistol cut away and the crossbow glued in place to look like he's just casually shooting off a bolt one handed, I'd have to say my favourite dwarf in this shot is the guy with the slung hammer, guy's an old warmachine crewman from '93 that came with an old lead cannon I bought at cancon a few years ago. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/184.jpgHere are some injury makers I came up with since I didn't want to have to fondle my dwarfs too much(avoid damaging the paint and the dwarf girl slayer will just earn me enough odd looks I reckon) and I just the bits and bases spare. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/186.jpga shot of some future henchmen(2 beardlings and a clansman, need more thunderer's >.<) https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/187.jpgHere's another shot of the slayers on their own for a better look, and a WIP vlad for shits and giggles, you might spot the new khorne champ mini in the background too. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/188.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/189.jpg | |

| thanks deaf, I'll be popping back into GW tomorrow to work on them some more and yes, I'm quite the optimist reason for the counter is I don't want to f**k up and chip my mini's while flipping over and over, and like I said before, the slayer girl I'm planning my earn me more than enough odd looks from the idea alone let alone fondling it every time she get knocked down or stunned. Of course I could just tell anyone who gives said looks to shove it up their arse. | |

| Well, before I started work today I ordered Azrin and a few other DHL dwarf minis from my FLGS, I am now currently stealing interwebs from the library I'm "cleaning" because my mother took a few days off to have a rest so I'm filling in for her, this place takes at most a half hour to tidy up.
Anyway, I got the updated pics of my warband on my photobucket except for one last slayer which I'll put up once I get home, should definatly have an update for you to look at tonight.

As one of the walking wounded in the battle of the sexes, I agree. Dwarf News: despite an announcement of their demise, Olley's Amries, THE best of ALL thing Dwarven, is still selling minis. HOORAY! They EVEN have a Pirate Band I hadn't prevviously seen. Check'em out: http://www.olleysarmies.co.uk/

| Yeah, I saw your link there in the pirate pictures thread, there's some really cool stuff they got there, the dwarf life minis would be great as partons for the bar brawl scenario. Okay, uploading last photo's nopw and will post update in the next 10 or so minutes. One of my mates who works at GW is helping to run a necromunda campaign and the inquisitor scrunts would be perfect to represent squats using van saar rules! | |

| Update time! all my dwarfs have had their skin done up, just another highlight and a wash and that part is done. First up is my engineer, got some work done on his tunic and pants, first highlights on the wood of his and the others weapons. Also needs his beard done. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/003.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/004.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/005.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/006.jpgMy noble now, same deal, did the base coat on his cape and the fur trim, I think I'm going to enjoy working on the purple for this band. next up for him is a wash of the armour and a hard edge highlight and finally his beard. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/017.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/018.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/019.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/020.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/021.jpgSlayers, flesh almost done, weapons are in progress, pants need a final highlight and the hair needs doing. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/027.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/028.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/029.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/030.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/031.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/032.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/033.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/034.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/035.jpgHenchmen next, first are the thunderer's the wood of their weapons is coming along nicely, you can't see it in these pics but pants are purple, beards and armour will be next up for them. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/009.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/010.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/011.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/012.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/013.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/014.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/015.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/016.jpgLast but not least is the clansman, got started on his beard, need to work on his armour too, infact all of them need work on the armour. https://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/022.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/023.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/024.jpghttps://2img.net/h/i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa271/Kaos201/025.jpgOk, another update done, shitload of pictures but this time they're better and a little more focused.
