The area closest to the forbidden Pit, only ruins and ash remains.

The ruined manor hall of the von Bissendorf und von Heffengen family.


















It might perhaps not be the most ideal for those who like jumping around, but I'm much more interested in creating a suitable mood. This is the richer district, hence the grander stonework, but it was completely ruined by the comet and the firestorm that it brought.

Looks like grand work! Given the setting of the comet/firestorm-levelled part of the city, the low level makes sense, & you've made it look good. & I really like the little bits at the bottom too.

They set out from Altdorf full of pride full of mania and blood thirst an expedition to reclaim that which belonged to their prince and to drive back the heathen and the renegade brother electors. They rode east into the crimson sunrise to filibuster for Reikland and they fought and bleed and dried until only a few hundred men remained when they crossed into the frozen wasteland of Kislev and they were no longer soldiers they were marauders, border reivers and scalp hunters. This was the end of them as men of doubtful honours and their rebirth as deranged killers.

It's been a few months since I last painted and I must admit I feel a bit rusted. It's fun to paint Mordheim miniatures again after a stint of technobarbarians. Here I must brag a bit since my warband (and all the warbands of my invited friends) for Tor Megiddo was featured in White Dwarf this year 😊. Anyway, lot more to come and I can't wait for the rest of the gang to start creating warbands.

& I've been admiring the Tor Megiddo warbands in White Dwarf, so well done on those too! I'm really looking forward to seeing the same sort of thing building up for Mordheim...

Nice work on those two models -- they're pretty damn cool. Are those repurposed Shadespire bases, or converted?

Glad to hear that! Blanchitsu is obviously my favourite part of the magazine.

The bases are actually from the easy to build Age of Sigmar kits. 12€ for 5 isn't exactly cheap, but I guess I eventually will find a use for the miniatures as well 😅
