Hi there!

I'm Chris, from the North East of England. I'm 21, currently studying Film Studies and Sociology at Northumbria University in Newcastle, working part-time as a Cinema Usher in a big cinema there. I live in Sunderland (as of January 6th) and I had Middenheimers when the game first came out!

Left the Games Workshop/Wargames hobby last year, recently got into it again when I discovered a big box of miniatures that had somehow escaped sale on eBay and had spare time on my hands now that my girlfriend has gone to university in York (great Mordheim-y inspiration there!). Now I have a Dwarf army, a Space Marine army recycled from my first 40k force stripped and repainted and various Necromunda warbands. I now have a new opponent for Mordheim (which was my favourite wargame back in the day and probably the one I've played most) and I've recently been buying some eBay stuff to start up my new warband, Possessed! Love Tom's blog so I thought this place would be a great place to join to get some tips and inspiration I'm going to post some pics of my Hired Swords so far in the Gallery!

I'm Chris and I'm new here at the forum. I'm currently working as a dockworker and also doing the part-time military thing with the National Guard. I've stopped school for a while as the whole war thing interrupted my first try and I'm not too keen to go back (to war or to school). But enough about all that.

I started painting Skaven for a Warhammer army about two years ago. I played a couple of games with the local group, but it broke up after a bunch of nerd drama that ended with one of the guys skipping town with the prizes for their Fallen Empires campaign. Basically the group followed all of the stereotypes for bad gamers. But I got two games in with my army before it fell apart. Now I'm working on a Warhammer Orcs & Goblins army.

For Mordheim, I'd seen the models in the GW catalog, but couldn't really justify buying them while trying to buy two Warhammer armies. But I got a good deal on a bunch of Witch Hunters and Sisters of Sigmar from someone on eBay, and I recently picked up an Amazon box set (which I have since learned is an unofficial list). I also have enough Skaven and Orcs & Goblins to field warbands from those factions. I've been reading through the rulebook and the various supplements, trying to get a handle on how everything works. I hope to have all my warbands painted up by the end of the year, but we'll see how it goes. As far as playig I don't really have any opponents handy right now so I'll probably just focus on my models and my painting, like I did before.

And that's about it. I hope I can contribute something to the group and learn more about the game from the threads and links here.

If you want you can also post pics of your Orc army in the "Shout it out" section. I'm sure eveyone would enjoy looking at your warhammer models too.

Well, currently the Orcs & Goblins army consists of eight partially-painted Orc Warriors, a few assembled and primed figures, and a whole bunch of boxes and blisters in a carton by my desk. I may post a few pics of my Skaven, though. They're not stunning, but they are decent enough for the tabletop.

edit: I tried posting some pics of my Warhammer Giant and some Rat Ogres, but they didn't show up in the thread. Not sure what I did wrong, but maybe I'll try again later. If you really want to see some mediocre paint jobs before I get around to it you can dig around in my blog.

My name is Steve and I'm from Australia. Been playing Mordheim for over a year now and I can safely say that I'm addicted! I have a fully painted Undead warband that I'll post pics of in the appropriate forums soon. I've also just started playing with Sisters of Sigmar.
