| Hi, I searched the forum for comments about the encampment rules in TC 28+29 (?), but I could not find anything. Does anyone have experience with these rules? The campaign my group is playing runs with the encampment rules. It is fun so far, but there are a lot of open questions. Example 1: Assume you camp in Cutthroat's Den and roll a tent (housing chart) and get a Beggar to join you[1]. What does (could, should) that mean [1]: TC 29 - Quote :
You may add a beggar to a henchman group (+2 above the total number of warriors in your warband. Always start a new group, even if there is only one of them. Mito

| Hopefully you get some responses. I don't think that many people use the encampment rules though. | |

Seconded. I love the idea of encampments, but i think they need an extra rule allowing you to change encampments should you not like what you originally end up. For example, if you choose sigmarhaven, and end up with tents. You're paying a 1 wyrdstone tithe per game, and getting not a whole lot in return. If you end up with a drinking hole and roll badly, you could end up paying your 1 wyrdstone tithe, plus up to 120gc. A big part of Mordheims charm does come from its randomness and risk taking, but damn... losing that much gold at once could be crippling to to your warband. You should definitely have to deal with the effects of your encampment roll for at least one game, but then I think a rule allowing you to find a new home would be good and not over powering.

With good reason. Awful rules. Werekin is one of those who likes them though, perhaps he will comment. Or you can PM him. See also his revised rules for encampments in MiM. http://libermalefic.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Rules

| Haha, I just meant to say that I like the idea of there being encampments, not the encampments as written. | |

| Thanks a lot!
I will play a few more games before stating my opinion here. Probably I will add a post and update the start post of this thread with a small summary of the things said so far.
I hope this will assist future generations interested in encampment rules.
