| FANTASTIC! I just commented in the W.I.P section. The finished piece exceeds all expectation. The working doors are a SPLENDID touch. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Once again, I love the stone texture you get when you paint up the plywood. Yours is one of the best modular boards I've seen.
When I saw the hinges all I could think was 'isn't there a smaller hinge?' Likely not.

| thx DN & VK I wanted to give everyone some insight into the problem I was trying to solve one of my first boards was 2' x 2' in size with a height of 1" transitioning up to 2" (in retrospect I recommend 3") my underground "dungeon" modules that I made later are 3" height you can see in the next 2 pictures the obvious transition problem obviously I needed a transition so I made solid 1' x 6" x 3" high (temporary) half blocks, knowing I would have to come back later the problem with the solid half blocks was the connecting doorways on the dungeon boards this was "fixed" by making a few "walls" to plug any openings that did not connect to another board properly thus the basements half block transition board even though it made it more difficult, I actually like the visual and gaming interest created by the different levels comments & questions welcome | |

| The multi level approach is FANTASTICALLY attractive. A gaming setting as visually interesting as your creation has to be a joy to play on. VERY WELL DONE once more! | |

| Did I mention I REALLY like the stone work? Thanks for the photos showing how the board fits with the rest of your table. | |

| thx again DN, VK & LS for the kind and encouraging words (sorry for the delay) a couple more details added: see doors/icons and shutters (if your were performing a dark, vile ritual in the basement, you wouldn't want the whole world to see, just that sneaky little kid who peaked through the crack in the shutters when he should be in bed...)...I don't remember where the door icons are from, but they might be from a shield...the photo doesn't do them justice, but they're a faded copper color... PS VK those are the smallest hinges available at hardware store. there may be smaller "hobby" hinges but I haven't looked...the stonework depends on multiple dry brush layers, unevenly applied, with accent colors...trying to get "dimension"...generally the drybrush is diagonal to the tile next (probably): GW arcane ruins (no longer available according to US website, but I've been sitting on these forever...)...will get the cutp modular board treatment on ~8" x 8" base/building board... FYI my first board ever...August 2011 (been re-painted/updated, but not re-posted separately; you can see it in my Mordheim Board So Far...) four corners from one of my 2' x 2' boards... just build, baby, build!

| As you know, iam not a fan of " unrubbished " scenery, but yours really rocks, even without rubble and stuff. Great job on the doors, look like the two doorknocker of " iNto the labyrinth" , thumbs up! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! | thx DN & floedebolle floedebolle - I'm generally sacrificing very uneven rubble for maximum playable space on my boards I do have modular rubble (e.g. see below right) and carts, barrels, barricades, etc. -- just generally not shown on my pics | |

What a great photo! I love framing images with arches. I include them whenever I can.
