| New forum member here
Been playing since the very beginning. I used to play at my FLGS long ago but it has since closed shop(don't they all?). Then at our gaming club but its gotten so hard to get together we usually stay away from campaign systems anymore.
Then I solo played for a while.
Then my two nephews got old enough to game and we started with Heroquest and graduated them to Mordheim.They are currently adults now(mid twenties) and we have a campaign going.
Heard about this place over at LAF and been lurking for a few weeks.

| Howdy! Another Marylander on the boards!
I used to play at Annapolis GW, and later Glen Burnie Battle Bunker. Those are gone as well, so I just play at home with a small group. I do miss the old stores sometimes, when they seemed to value the hobby as more than a way to sell more.

I'm from farther west, out in Frederick.In the 90s there was a decent GW gaming scene there,Tony's Gaming Realm,Brainstorm Comics,Hobbytown.All gone now or given up their gaming areas.
I also played at The Arena in Eldersburg for a while till he went titsup.
I never made it to the GW stores but I know what you mean.I remember Games Days where they actually had sales and special offers! The first one I ever went to John Stallard(I didn't know who the heck he was then but put a name to the face years later) waited on me at the trade stand and the more stuff I put on the table the bigger the discount he gave me! I think I spent like $300 and that bought a lot of lead back then.
