The idea is to base them so they look as though they were working a wheat field and had to place down their weapons to take pot, shots at the enemy. If I get a hold of the slingshot boy on the cart I think i cam make a very cool posed unit.

I like the idea BUT you really should have tools that the boys could pickup. The blade on the scythe looks as long as the boy is tall & probably weighs more than he does; the pitch fork tine is only slightly less so. Even if they could lift them, they are much too short to actually use the tools. The little guys would most likely be gathering the cut wheat rather than actually wielding the scythe anyway; SO why not just give them a small sickle & maybe a basket?   What a Face

Thank you for the feed back. My original thought was that using bigger tools, so they would look awkward if wielded, would look better than one appropriately sized. My thinking is there master's wouldn't care if they could use properly, only that they could use them. I do like your point that the would more that likely have the sickle if they were really farming. I think I could give the scythe to a much older child (new model hopefully keselvite young blood) , ad sickles to the two scythe wielding children now, and if I'm lucky, get one of those kids in the cart. and keep the one with the pitchfork, I really like how that one turned out.

That looks SO MUCH BETTER. I don't picture the Lads hanging around long enough to use them in combat, but they could wield them pretty effectively against the wheat/hay/whatever. Have FUN with the painting et al!   thumbsup

I'm with deaf, the smaller sickles are such an improvement over the original. I'm liking where this is heading

They've got The Kid chopping wood..nice idea. The ax is a slight but believable exaggeration. The belt loop looks good. FINE WORK!   thumbsup
