| Hello, guys! My name is Anastasia Smile I am the professional artist (oil, canvas etc.), and recently i had the experience of painting miniature furniture for tabletop games like "Warhammer" or "Mordheim". That was a great expirience! Smile All models were painted with acrylics and varnished. What do you think about it? Constructive criticism is very necessary for me, because it is the first time when i have painted miniature models. Thank you! | |

| WELCOME to Tom's Mordheim Forum. May your stay be LONG & MERRY! Your creations are LOVELY... FINE choice of colors & brushwork. VERY WELL DONE! My only critique would be a lack of depth to your colors. The black lining sets of the varying shades in a rather flat manner. If you were to do a base shade with a darker & lighter hue of the same color for shadows & highlights, you'd achieve greater depth. I usually start with the base, do a wash with my shading color, &, while still fairly wet, reapply the base shade & highlight colors being careful to leave the undercut alone. Here's a book case & stuff for an example: - Spoiler:

The furniture looks great. You have done a wonderful job of painting the items on the shelves as well.

| They are fantastic!
As DeafNala pointed out though, miniatures games are an odd case where what looks great under even light and close up can get washed out or appear bland under less ideal light conditions and at the distance from which the models are viewed (usually about 3 feet or so), mainly because they're so small. To combat this, many miniature painters use bolder highlights and shadows than you'd see on other forms of art.

| Hi! I like your pieces of furniture very well. This was a small inspiration for me. I have started to build a small shelve. I hope, it becomes good. Greeting Ingo | |

| Really nice work. Are you planning on going on with this hobby? Or is it merely for sale? By the way, excellent prices. I wish I had some spare cash, I would love to add these to my collection of scenery. |

| This looks amazing with the textured wood and small nicknacks. Do you make them yourself from scratch? If you do I bow down before your might talent. Its pieces like this that really bring the tabletop to the next (and the next after that) level.
Hope you stay and show us more of your work

| Fantastic works, really, having worked a long time for an art gallery, i really can tell you´re full of talent, very classic style, love your works! And now that you´ve decided to work on 3 dimensions, even better for us here! There´s another 2D Artist who turned into Miniature Painting, he has an lovely blog, wich i followed for the last 2 years, awsome work, here´s his site: http://wappellious.blogspot.de/_________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | Hello, guys) As i've said before - i can show you how my friend sculpt the small furniture. Wel,l here it is: "1. First of all you need to build some geometric form for you future model.
2. Carving wood structure. I used simple small needle and press it on a thin layer of clay, which i put on the basic form. 3. After wood carving i add some main details: box doors and others 4. More details 5. Final result I used oven-baked clay "Super Sculpey 3". " And that is after my painting:
