| That does look SPLENDID. The metal sewer grates might be more Steam Punk than Mordheim, but that's just quibbling & easily overcome. GREAT FIND! | |

| Ooh, and they also have space mats for Battlefleet Gothic. I am impressed. And it IS Christmas shopping season...*reaches for wallet* | |

| It's a nice mat....but my Pedant Gland is driving me mental about this; those are not cobblestones, they're setts. Cobblestones specifically refer to the rounded stones taken from rivers and riverbeds, cut stone(no matter how rough the cut) used for roads are called setts. I know probably nobody else cares, but it bugs the hell out of me | |

| Despite the naming snafu, I decided to go ahead and order one, it showed up a few days ago. Pretty high quality piece of work. I'll try to post pictures the next time I have a game so I can show what it looks like with some scenery and models. | |

| That's awesome. Our club has looked at their offering a few times already. Some of it is real nice. So far, we've opted for me painting MDF boards instead. Just a tad less expensive, and not necessarily much worse looking.
I do look forward to hearing about how you like it. |

| Here it is, all filled up with terrain! As far a relatively cheap and portable gaming surface goes, this thing is great. It certainly adds some pop to the game. That said, the fact that it is two-dimensional is a big mark against it. If you have very realistic terrain that all matches then I'd recommend putting in the extra effort to build your own streets. As far as the material, it is much thinner than I expected it to be, but seems pretty durable as far as danger of ripping or tearing goes. All-in-all, a pretty solid purchase. | |

| Thank you for the photo. I am thinking of picking up one. Most of my terrain has its own base, but they are easy to pop off and make new to match. | |

| Looks good, I like your board. Any problems with it curling? Seems to lay well. Could you perhaps post a closer, lower angle of the mat? Even for 2D it seems to present well for texture. Thanks for sharing. | |

| @Powerposey: glad my purchase and photo could be useful!
@Mike: I'll try to remember to get another pic for you sometime this week. Curling isn't a a huge problem with them. For this and one of the BFG mats I rolled them in reverse when storing them, so the natural curl at the edges is down rather than up, which seems to work quite nicely. For the other I kept it rolled the normal way (so natural curl is up) and just weighted the corners for a bit after taking it out of the tube. There is still some curl there, but after a half hour to an hour or so of being weighted it mostly goes away.
@DeafNala: All the terrain belongs to the store where I play, they have some quite the variety, and some pretty good stuff, including several sets of all the original buildings.

| That's an interesting manufacturer, thanks you two for the link and the photo. NoisyAssassin, is that the Cloth- or the PVC Mat? On their homepage, you don't have comparison-shots of their two variants, I think in their pics it's all PVC.
Plus, did you guys see they offer minis too? Not exactly for Mordheim, but they'd fit into Necromunda well.
I think I'll share the news with the operater of a TT-news blog, both Deep Cut Studio and Badrollgames could probably use some advertising.

| @Grimscull: I got the PVC. I didn't even realize that there was a cloth variant! One other issue with the PVC is that it is kind of reflective, so in direct bright sunlight there is some glare. I bet the cloth mat wouldn't get that. @Mike: More pics for ya | |

| Is it the PVC-version? How well do you get along with the streets already being marked on the map? Is there enough versatility? | |
