Sisters of Sigmar weapons - can others use them?

In a recent game, using the Random Happenings rules, a Sigmarite Matriarch appeared on the table in a battle between dwarves and Averlanders (rolled 54 - Last One Standing). The dwarves took her OOA, with some lucky rolls.

The Random Happenings rules allow a model to loot the body, taking her Sigmarite warhamer, steel whip, armour, helmet, blessed water and holy relic. Its a pretty good find!

My question is - can the dwarves use the warhamer and whip? My thinking is that weapon training skill would allow them to use either weapon. Its arguable that the hammer could be used without it but it is described as a different weapon to a regular warhamer and is quite powerful in a warband of good melee fighters.

I have discarded the holy relic, even though it could probably be used in the RAW, since its a Sigmarite relic not a dwarven one.

You can use the Relic, nothing in the rules prevents it. Although if you want to be a stickler for fluff then selling it isn't the worst thing in the world. As far as the weapons, yes, with the Weapons Training skill one of your heroes would be able to wield both the whip and the sig hammer (you do need it to use the sig hammer - it is a different weapon than a normal hammer)

If you need a fluff reason to use the relic, it could be one of the many relics that both the Sigmarites and Dwarfs revere.

Thanks for that. I must find more Sisters to rob of their hammers!

I view the Sigmarite hammer (a special type of hammer) a bit like weeping blades (which are sword-like but not just swords).
