| The original hero sheet in the rule book only had five possible hero slots. You had to print an extra sheet in order to fit that sixth hero in until someone re-did the layout for heroes.
You can use more than one sheet to record your henchman groups too. Not a rule, just a space and layout issue that involves the standard size of a piece of paper in the UK.

| What happens if you roll The Lads Got Talent and you already have 6 heroes, which you don't want to replace? Do you re-roll, or take no benefit? | |

As the rules are written, you re-roll if you already have maximum heroes (6). You don't actually get a choice of replacing one of your Heroes. However, some groups play with a house rule that allows a player to dismiss a Hero to make room for a promoted Henchman. This is a house rule so you will have to work out details within your group if you use this house rule. I would recommend to allow a re-roll of TLGT result if you have the house rule but do not want to dismiss a Hero.

| RAW, no. That being said, in my group we have a house-rule that lets you throw it on the turn you charge, and that seems to work out ok. | |

| Hey there! I have a few rules concerning the Prayers of Sigmar. 1) Hammer of Sigmar, Shield of Faith I have to cast it in my own shooting phase, but (if I successfully get the roll in the enemie's phase done) can still use it in my enemie's turn, right? 2) Hearts of Steel Once casted this buffs are permanent for the rest of the game, right? Sorry for these pretty naive questions but there had been quite some confusion going on about these spells in our games Thanks a lot! Jonas | |

By the rules you can (unless I'm wrong which is quite possible): - Rulebook wrote:
- disbanding warbands
You may disband your old warband at the end of any game and start again with a new one. All the warriors in the original warband and any equipment and other benefits they acquired are lost. You can also dismiss any warrior in your warband at any time. 1. Correct. 2.Heart's of Steel: - Quote :
- The effects of this spell
last until the caster is knocked down, stunned or put out of action. If cast again the effects are not cumulative, ie, the maximum bonus to Rout tests remains +1.

| 2 questions: - Are Pit Fighters any good?
- The warband specific skills... you can pick freely at leveling to take one of them? Or is it randomized?

| 1) There are two Pit Fighter warbands from different Town Cryers issues. The Watchtower can help you identify the issues ( https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t816-reference-the-watchtower-mordheim-rules-index) which are TC14 and TC21. I actually don't have experience with either. Where did you find the rules for the Pit Fighter warband that you are referring to? 2. Skills can be chosen when leveling. Only magic and characteristics are random. Edited to add locations for each warband... | |

| Pitfighters are insanely good, Everyone in your warband has the skill pitfighter, you get an ogre that can become a hero you call take almost all hired swords Pursuer Evade skill is brutal and extremely good Plus a troll slayer and awesome pitfighter skills
Their only downside is no heavy armour and a lack of range which is what your hired swords are for.

| I agree with Phantasmal_fiend, Pit Fighters are a really strong warband in an urban environment. How they play in Cathay is a different thing... | |

| In a living rules rulebook i also encountered another variant of the Pit Fighters but which basically lets them buy their equipment seperately and mentions such equipment like 'hardened leather armor'.
Which variant do you guys advise me to use?

| Can you give us the link to that living rulebook? There is one floating around that is not the best but which a lot of people find unfortunately.
I can't make a warband recommendation so I'll leave that to someone else.

Let me correct that for you - Quote :

You could PM Mr DancyPants about this rule book as his group uses it. People used to refer to the GW rule book available from the Specialist Games website as a Living rulebook but GW only updated it once. I'm not sure if the fan-made rules you found are updated as my group avoids them.

| Stupidity test can use the leadership of warband leaders right?
Also we use the core rulebook only for now. But i've allowed the fanmade warbands. Why? Avoids people having to buy new models constantly. It is already hard enough to get people to do anything nowadays...
You believe it would be unbalanced if i use the warband rules where Pit Fighters no longer have packages?
Another question. Do you all mostly play 1vs1 or with more than that per scenario?

| It is not uncommon for us to do three player games, so folks don't have to sit around bored. We almost always used rules for basic scenarios in that case. | |

| There are basically three of us playing right now, so when we all three show up we like to play a three player game. If our fourth was here we'd do two one-on-one, but that rarely happens. | |

As long as the leader is within range of the stupid warrior. - Quote :

I do think that this is a wise way to learn the game. I have nothing against fan-made rules, but it is nice to have the basics down before delving into them. - Quote :

Not sure what you mean. However you could always run some test games to find out. Personally I have only had experience with the TC 21 rules, since those are the rules that sold models to go with them and that's what players in my group used. - Quote :

We play whatever works out best with the number of players that night. Usually that is 1v1 as those are our favorite way to play. Larger games take longer to play.
