Hello Smile , this will be my first post for this quality forum.
I haven't touched Warhammer for close to a decade now but the modelling bug has never quite left me. After stumbling upon this site and discovering a love for the Mordheim game I thought it a great excuse to dust off some old models I still had lurking about before butchering them to pieces and kitbashing them back together (like a grimdark Humpty-dumpty?) I went for Middenheimers simply because I figured their fluff most resembles medieval Scotland out of all the other human mercs.
Naturally my skills are rusty and not a patch compared to most on here but I figured I'd like to show of a bit and contribute Smile

First off the Captain; a big axe, a big bird and most importantly big shoulder pads. Shoulders need protection too..

The loyal second in command; big blade on a stick, big beard, big cloak (no shoulder pads though, only the boss gets them)

The young bloods; scruffy, reckless and eager to please (personally I love the characters of the Bretonnian peasants, just the right look for Mordheim, I think)

Lastly the druid/apprentice beast wizard/'counts as' a priest of ulric model. (when kitbashing this guy I had no idea what I was going for, I just experimented with as many weird bits of accessories and saw how they'd fit with a state trooper. This guy definitely the weirdest of the group but my personal favourite for that)

And the group image. Obviously they're all still WIP and rough around the edges, never mind unpainted. Hopefully folk like what they see, I've certainly gained tons of inspiration from past posts on here.

WELCOME ABOARD Fearless Leader Tom's Sleep Yet Cool in It's Own Nerdy Sort of Way Nonetheless Mordheim Forum. Have a FUN stay!  cheers
After such a SPLENDID introduction, I hope your stay is a long one. The Scotheimers look TERRIFIC...kit-bashing is The Way. Keep up the FINE WORK!  thumbsup

Way back when the Beastman Army list came out for 6th Edition, Gav Thorpe mentioned thinking of the Orcs as ancient Scots. While this may at first glance seem slanderous, Orcs like Scots are cool...not as cool as Goblins, but cool notwithstanding.  clown

Thanks for the encouraging welcome Smile
With the simple appeal of kitbashing I may have relapsed back into this crazy hobby ...

@DeafNala Haha, the orcs are most definitely Scottish, especially when they lose so much. I'm pretty sure most scots nowadays have devolved in the goblins now though, not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing scratch (and as a scot myself i can slander my own fair country no bother Wink )

Funny you should mention it: I figured that if Orcs were Scots, then Goblins would be Irish....I started to name them accordingly like Barf O'Bilge, Gouger McGoon, & Temerity O'Leery. The Beastmen by the way were, according to Herr Thorpe, ancient Germans.  What a Face
