| It would be if the minis were not: A. 35mm, B. Assuming in plastic resin: Poorly cast (if the dwarf command group I purchased is any indication). C. Shoddily sculpted; don't get me wrong the heroes are all great, but the rank and file.. well the dwarves at least, leave a lot to be desired.
I wish they would put out more plastics though as the beserkers are great for conversions.

| I don't own anything from AoW yet and I've heard complaints about the company taking so long to ship stuff or come up with something that was paid for via Kickstarter a year ago. But hearing that some of their sculpts are shoddily is a first for me. And the minis I've at least seen are not 35mm. Also the whole point of AoW is to offer alternatives for WHFB-models that are in the same style as the GW-models you already have. Anything but 28mm would make absolutely no sence. And a Quote I found on another forum: - Quote :
- It is more close now to be July, then August for the Thunder Warriors. Plastic injection molds take months to get done, but once done production is just a dream come true!
In effect, we are tooling for injection molding some products, but I can't give much more details as of now. So they might be released as plastics, not Resin, whenever this may be.

| RE: quality, I will see if I can dig out my dwarves and show you the poor casting quality and rushed looking chainmail. RE: 28mm I believe that is the idea, but.... there is no way this barbarian (second from the right) is 28mm... At the very least there is no way their figs can fit in with Specialist games models (which are usually true scale 28mm (and don't exist anymore)), even next to the over-size GW Marauder the figure is huge, and the other models are the same. The dwarf beserkers stand about a head taller than the GW dwarves too. Cool to hear about the plastic production though, that could be cool, though i'd prefer it if they were not human, more conversion potential that way and if I like the models I woulden't have to collect a whole new game in order to have some in the same scale lol..... My project is 30-32mm so I can use Prvateer press and Reaper figures, Avatars of War figures are STILL too large. I should point out that I have a "thing" about scale, I don't mind a model looking a little shorter, or being large (e.g. I might use the barbarian above should I decide I have a lot of spare money and a need for him) but there is a limit for me, sticking miniatures from various manufacturers together usually doesn't work too well for me, one reason why most of my warbands are not going to be human lol. | |

| https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4I for one am excited! I own a few metal miniatures from AoW and I'm very happy with them. Quality is very good. I also got the plastic berserkers and pretty happy with them. It's true their mini's are sligthly larger but hey, there will always be bigger and smaller people. there should'n be a problem if you use an all AoW warband. I think the problems with shipping and delivery are limited to the kickstarter stuff only | |

| As will I! These look like some interesting alternatives to GW, and if they turn out to be plastic sculpts, so much the better! | |

| I don't know. One is UK based run by EX GW office staff / games writers, and provide hard plastic basic units and metal or Restic other models, generally with not so great sculpts that are closer to true scale 28mm (e.g. not heroicly proportioned).... and some licenced fisherprice dwarves . The other is a spanish company run by an ex GW sculptor (a very good one) with metal characters and restic units with one hard plastic kit so far, always producing very nice sculpts that are WAY bigger than 28mm. Not TOO similar to get them confused I think.... | |
