My gaming group is starting to get into Mordheim and I want to play Dark Elves. I went to the Games Workshop and I didn't see them as one of the armies listed. Can you still use them.

Welcome to the forum!
There are a couple Dark Elf warbands out there on the net. GW published one in TC#12. This warband is classified as unofficial by GW. Other warbands have been written by fans over the years. These are called experimental. Your gaming group can decide which, if any are allowed in the campaign they are doing. Some groups are more open to unofficial warbands than others, but you'll have to ask them.

Shouldn´t it be noted that elf in all shape and sizes MIGHT be a wee bit goody for a newcomer?
This is by no means me clankering (is that a english word or something i just englisgied from swedish?) down on the whole race. Just curious and thinking about the group.

Welcome to the forums and the game!
Dark Elves of all the elven warbands are from what I can tell the weakest and they still are considered Over Powered. So if your wanting to play as them be willing to have them toned down some before there allowed in. There are a few threads out there in the rules section on how best to do this.

The Fey quickness is what really made them OP in my last campaign. In the end, all of the Dark Elf Heroes had a 4+ unmodified save on top of their armor against ANY attack. It was kinda ridiculous, and I had more than one complaint about it.
