| So, me and Bratzor built a new mordheim table over the summer. We finished a couple weeks back, and kicked it off with a proper mordheim weekend in the basement of a local net café. We were gonna blog about the project during the process, and we do have a few WIP pics from along the way, but you know what? Let's just start with the finished thing! It's 90% foamboard, cardboard and McD coffee stirers. Picture quality will vary wildly, and please excuse the occasinal flash photo. Here's an overview. The big centrepiece, the clock tower itself. Maybe not quite as big as it seems on the Mordheim map, but it does dominate the table The roof and top floor are separate, and can be removed for access during play and ease of transport. The clock can be used as a turn marker. Our main source of inspiration has actually been the cardboard buildings included in the Mordheim box. So we've been doing lots of grafitti and wall paintings. The table itself is 2 pieces of 60x120cm insulation foam. The platforms are part of the table. We decided to glue them in place so we could integrate them with the streets and layout properly. Every town square with self respect needs a fountain! The water is woodland scenics realistic water. Yet to cure in this image unfortunately. The rest is mostly foam, with a few gargoyles from GW kits and a sculpted top piece. You'll notice the fish theme repeating here and there - that's not a coincidence Still lots of picture sorting to do! Expect more closeups and street views soon Any questions and feedback welcome! | |

| That is a BEAUTIFUL gaming board. Amid all the GREAT LOOKING buildings the Clock Tower stands out a a centerpiece of fine craftsmanship. The fresco work on the various pieces is WONDERFUL. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Man, I had a rubbish end of day, so this was a sight for sore eyes! Thanks for sharing! Lovely project, very well made and great amount of quality detail!
I like unusual stuff that you don't normally see in terrain projects, so the fountain and graffitis were something else - it really looks like there are actual people living in that place!
The only minor thing I would change is the clock itself: I would add some cracks and weathering to make it match the rest of the building.
Either way, you have a whole tabletop to be proud of!

Joao It's like that on the other side of the clock tower. I commissioned the gaming table by the way, and it's wonderful to play games on it, lots of small details and character in it, as the inn got a sign of a rat drowning in a beer keg~ And other... Secrets... Hidden away from preying eyes. | |

| He he he! When I saw the picture, I thought: man, these guys take feedback very seriously and act accordingly super quick! That's terrific work you've done on the damaged side of the clock tower. As for the details you're talking about, could we get a few more pictures? When it comes to this table, we can never get too many photos! Joao | |

| I'll see what I can scrape together tomorrow at the club, it is Mordheim Tuesday anyhow! Edit: Unless they do have pictures of it themselves of course!!! I do not wish to hi-jack the thread. | |

| As Shinoboy mentioned, the table was a commision job. Very few of the photos we took before handing it off were good, so if we can trick Shino into snapping more pics that'd be awesome I do have a few work in progress pics of most houses. I was gonna write something about the whole process, but other projects got in the way. I'll see what I can scrape together! | |

| The W.I.P photos are WONDERFULLY INSPIRING! While the buildings themselves are FANTASTIC, the thing I love is the freehand Fish & Tentacles on the Merchant's House. GREAT WORK! | |

| Absolutly great WIP pics, thanks for those, love the houses, yet simple construction, as you meant to build them the easy way, still some of the best i know, thumbs up! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it!
