Johnyoung the canadian is coming to Europe for 6 interminable, boring months! Wink

Yep. I bought my ticket yesterday and I'm landing in Paris (Charles-de-gaules) sometime around noon on october 2nd. Even though some of you might not remember me, due to my lack of activity during the last few (2-3) months on this forum, be assured that I'm still a huge mordheim fan. So If anybody want to show me around a city/enjoy a fun mordheim game (although I wont be able to carry my own warband around Sad

) say it!

I'm also looking for a job/room mate in france 8-).

I don't know how long you're planning to stay around per city, but Couchsurfing has some really convenient ways. look it up on www.couchsurfing.com

it's fairly easy, specially now that the summer is coming to an end. roommates, free places to sleep, meeting people, all really easy... and if you make it to Amsterdam, shoot me a message! (that would mean, a host, AND a game! Smile

Yeah I discovered this site a little while ago. I never tried to couch-surf but some of my friends/relative told me they've had a great experience with it Smile

Well, I think Amsterdam's rep is a bit over the top, but it sure as hell is one cool city and I won't leave it very soon! -Tons of inspiration... parties and fun every day, the whole year round (except for tuesdays... damn... what to do?!?! - Ah! Mordheim! )

but most of all, it feels like a small town, (you can cycle from one end to the other in about 30 minutes...

Hey, I decided on going to the Oktoberfest 2008 in Munichen as soon as I recover from the flight from Canada. I should have checked out the date earlier and bought a ticket for Munichen directly but I'm so unprepared XD. I should be taking the train/plane on october 3rd in the morning to enjoy the last weekend of the festival.

Is anyone interested in coming along/hosting/sharing an inn room/travelling from France/whatever?

I'm a tad bit late but I can't pass on such a festival when I know I'm only a few hundrerd of miles away!

Yeah... the Oktoberfest is a little overrated I think. People are quite divided on the topic. Some say it's great, other say it's just a binge drinking gathering in a cliché setting.

I personally don't really see the point in having beer in 1L glasses. It gets warm by the time you drank half of it. But I looooove pretzels Smile

Be that as it may, give us a little report of how it was, John (along with some pics would be great!). That might be fun.
