| I would really struggle to get that last slayer and max out your heroes. Also id switch the engineers handgun for an x-bow, at least for starters guns get funny with skills, but not really before that. I never liked beardlings but that's a matter of play style. and id always aim to start with 6 or 9 members to maximize income. Other then that it looks good Nice balance between shooting and melee. | |

| I agree with Stronzo - you really want the second Slayer in your starting line-up.
Other than that, it looks fun to me - you aren't spamming anything to ridiculous levels which means 1. your warband will look good model-wise and 2. it won't be boring to play against (or with).

| And I will agree with both of them. Hire another Trollslayer.
gold (or points) to do this can be found by giving your engineer a crossbow rather than a handgun as already recommended, dropping all the shields (even if you are playing with house rules for armor) and dropping the Beardling with the halberd entirely.

| I'd also steer clear of the Gromril Hammer. I costs 12gc and for what? An extra -1 armor save. Not worth it. I'd instead go for a regular club and save you the 9gc for something else. | |

| Yes, a good list.
The reasons for the changes are that it is always best in Mordheim to start with as many heroes as possible because heroes equal income and income equals survival. Winning and losing isn't so important, its being able to continue the fight.
You have a good balance between shooting and close combat so you can hurt more numerous close combat lists before they close with your fighters to even up the odds. You have enough shooters (and longer range than anyone but elves) to take on a shooting warband. Switching from the handgun to the crossbow gives you more gold, longer range and a solid volley every turn.

| My group usually ends up setting a table with a decent amount of open terrain. Great for shooters. For this reason, when I start a Dwarf Band, I usually get the Tilean Marksman from the start. He gives good cover fire, and good starting skills. Always a must for me. | |

| 8 models, 4 heroes and three cross bows.
Yeah this is a solid way to start treasure hunter warband.
I would buy one or two wardogs after the next games to increase your speed and your cc threatening area. As hired sword an ogre is a fine and expensive choice but i would also recommend a Kislev ranger. A warlok with a flight spell is excellent for wyrdstone hunt scenarios. A fine hired sword is also the dwarf slayer pirate. I never played him but i love the mini
Have fun | |
