HotT 15mm Goblin army

I was not sure what to paint next. Again historicals oder something else? I took a look in my miniautre box and found some 15mm Goblins. The idea was born to paint a Hordes of the things army. The army will consist of the following:

1x magician
2x behemoth
1x lurker
5x horde
2x beast
1x flyer

Missing are the beast, flyers and one behemoth model.

I started painting with some Goblins. Fast and simpel to paint:



The i watched the new Hulk movie and thought that i have one heroclix model which could be used as second behemoth.The original model:

Looking good so far. At first I thought green wouldn't be the best skintone to repaint the Hulk-mini, because people would look at it and see the Hulk, but not a Behemoth. In your blog you say you want him to be a Half-Ork though, so green fits with the background (and the rest of the army). Are you going to repaint the other Behemoth that already has a paintjob in the pic? Maybe you could use a similar hair- and skintone to suggest where the other half of Olk is coming from...

As befitting Goblins, the Lads look cool even in their W.I.P. state. If the transformed Hulk is any indication this should turn out to be a TERRIFIC LOOKING Horde...keep up the GOOD WORK!

That is VERY COOL; the new skin color looks TERRIFIC & you knocked him out in record time. The thing I like about the HotT rules is the bases; they give you a chance to do some VERY CREATIVE scenic work. It's good to see you're making the most of the opportunity...VERY WELL DONE!

Its WIP but i call it "Evil Hypnotoad" based on the hypnotoad from tv series FUTURAMA... just in ultra evil:xD:



I also finished the first horde stand:

The Sorcerer Frog looks GREAT...really nice eyes. The Horde base is cool as always..it's up for grabs as to whether the base enhances the minis or the other way around. GOOD WORK!

Thanks. In my eyes in 15mm is the base what you see from distance and not the miniature! On 28mm its something different and they, base & miniature, are more in balance!

That is (potentially) the coolest base yet...judging from the drool Hypnotoad must think so too. EXCELLENT PROGRESS!

The Little Guys look TERRIFIC. The wicker shields, the sea critter encrusted staff, & their very expressive faces are all enhanced by some fine brushwork. The base is your usual ubercool. VERY WELL DONE!

I LOVE the Group Portrait...the minis are BEAUTIFUL & the swamp effect is STUNNING. You're not sacrificing any of the character of larger minis with these pieces.
The new Lads are on a par with the older brethren; i.e., fine painting & basing. AND the Fly Boy is really sharp...using the static grass for fur is a favorite of mine also. VERY WELL DONE, all around!
