| Hi following situation we had in our game.
Archer from an Mercenary warband located at 1st floor of a building hast to chose his target. Which are the targets he may chose or is there any he has to chose ??
Situation:
The nearest enemy modell he can see is in another building at the 2nd floor, there is another modell on same level (on 1st floor of a building) that the archer can shoot and there is a modell on the ground (meaning lower position) that he can shoot.
Question 1: Does this archer have to shoot at the modell at the 2nd floor of the other building as it´s nearest enemy.
Question 2: Can the archer chose to shoot at the modell at the ground floor or 1st floor of the building keeping in mind that modell on 2nd floor is the closest one.

- shooting from
an elevated position A model situated in an elevated position (ie, anything that is more than 2" above the table surface, such as an upper floor of a building), may freely pick any target he can see and shoot at it. The exception to this rule is that if there are enemies in the same building and in line of sight of the shooter, he must shoot at these, as they present a more immediate threat. Since the models in first and second floor are in another building, and you are in an elevated position yourself (1st floor ought to be 2") you can shoot at whoever you like. In our group, two buildings count as being "the same building" for this purpose if they are linked by stairs or runways etc. But that is a houserule. @ shotguncoffee: where is that from? | |

| I agree with Grimscull's posting. Unless the model is in the same building i.e. can charge your figure, then you can select the target! | |

| Thank you gentlemen.
I were somehow thinking that it is not allowed to take the target on the 2nd floor because it is in a higher position and in another building not connected to the one of the shooter.
I allways were thinking to take the one which represents the closest threat which would be the one on the ground or 1st floor of the other building.
Anyway...I know now for the next time.

| I think the idea is if a shooter is over 2" high, he feels more secure and less threatened, and so can shoot anyone, regardless of relative heights. We used to try to play relative 2" heights and it got real annoying real quick. | |
